"Probably is the newest hotel in the area. Very new both inside and outside. The infinity pool is a huge plus. The morning breakfast has variety of food, both perfect for western culture and local culture."

Overall very good stay at a bargain price. All services available and the executive suites were very nice and spacious. The only issue was a persistent bad odour from the bathroom. The hotel is in good location for Kuching with great views over the river. I would certainly stay there again when I go back to Kuching.
They also had a good range of tours for those wanting to explore beyond Kuching which seemed well priced against the local tour companies.

We had a great stay here as a family. Location and facilities are ideal.
A special mention needs to go Wan who was in charge of the pool and pool Bar. He was such a genuine helpful happy person and made some great drinks. He gave us some ideas and local places to try which were brilliant. Thanks Wan.

ALL staff very friendly and helpful, super clean, comfy bed, delicious breakfast with plenty of variations & daily newspaper to read while you eat.
Luggage stored for an overnight trip to Bako National Park for which the number 1 bus stops a few metres away from the hotel...perfect!
Also has an amazing bidet / toilet seat!

We absolutely loved this hotel, you were treated like royalty the moment you arrived - the porters open the doors for you and take your suitcases; the reception staff are extremely friendly, patient and helpful. The staff always recognise you as you go in and out the hotel and ask how you are. There are a miriad of additional services at no extra cost - for example we went away for one night to Bako and they stored our large suitcases in a room and our valuables in a safe at no charge at all....

I've always enjoyed the hospitality provided by the hotel management and staff at Citadines upland, Kuching. This is my third visit within a short period of time. The apartments are well maintained and clean. I have recommended this hotel to many of my friends and family members and all came back with very good comments.

Overall an amazing place to stay in kuching, especially if your looking for somewhere with some character.
The place is rustic with a few little bits which arent perfect, but place is really interesting, with lot of history and also really clean.
The hotel is near the old town and china town, with lots of bar and restaurants nearby and short was to the river front.
Bedroom are small but everything you need, both bed and bathroom were immaculate! - (photos are from check out).

This Hotel certainly does a good breakfast with wide variety of local foods to include the famous Sarawak Laksa and the usual European/Continental fayre. Assortment of local fruit and fresh lime juice for the health conscious.
The Hotel has very friendly and helpful Front of house staff...indeed all the staff we met were very courteous, polite, friendly and spoke good English especially the owner himself who was happy at all times having breakfast with his guests.

The best area to stay in Panglima Seman is the city centre, particularly around the waterfront and the historic Old Town.
This central area is the heart of Panglima Seman, known for its mix of modern conveniences and historic charm. You'll find a range of accommodations, from boutique hotels to larger establishments, many offering views of the Sarawak River. The waterfront promenade, known as the Kuching Waterfront, is a popular spot for evening strolls and offers access to river cruises. Key landmarks like the Old Courthouse and the Main Bazaar are easily accessible on foot.
For couples looking for a mix of culture and convenience, the area around Main Bazaar and Carpenter Street is ideal. These streets are lined with traditional shophouses, offering local crafts, antiques, and eateries. It's a great place to explore during the day and enjoy a relaxed evening meal by the river.
Families will find the hotels near the Kuching Waterfront particularly convenient. Many offer family-friendly facilities, and the waterfront itself provides space for children to move about.
When is the best time to go to Panglima Seman?
The best time to visit Panglima Seman is generally during the dry season, which runs from April to September.
This period typically offers more sunshine and less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities. You'll find the weather more consistent for boat trips along the Sarawak River or visiting local markets and historical sites.
However, if you're keen on experiencing local festivals, the Gawai Dayak festival in early June is a significant cultural event, though it falls within the dry season.
