"We stayed for two nights and three days at this location. The location in itself was amazing but we had issues with AC in the room. The temperature remained at 77° and was very hot throughout the night. We called in at the front desk at the middle of the night, we did have a visit from one of their staffs, at 12:30 at night but couldn’t figured out the AC situation. We left the bathroom window open and tried our best to lower the room temperature. AC was set to 61° but overall temperature of the room didn’t drop lower than 76° all night. In addition our room got cleaned next day but coffee cups and coffee pods were not available for the second morning of the stay. Before we checked out, we let the front desk staff know about all those issues but haven’t heard anything back. Great location for stay but AC is not working, room amenities not being restocked/available, and not hearing from the management team after providing feedback, I would have to rethink before I recommend someone to stay here."

"Right from check in, the front desk person was odd and standoffish. Our room had zero view, hard wood floors with sand on it... There was a poor patch job done to the shower bottom that appears water damaged. We could not use the pool or hot tub apon arrival due to an unexpected music event??? Last but not least ..there was non boutique amenities in the room reminiscent of motel 6....WE HAD NO AIR CONDITIONING IN OUR ROOM..aaaand the location of our room was right next to a main entrance and we could hear all the doors slamming and rude loud guests. Sure, there is many shopping and dining experiences near by and the beaches are lovely nearby...but this review is NOT about Carmel and its value now is it??? "

"Reasonable rate in Carmel area but the room has old smell and you can hear your neighbors talking, flushing, and walking. Couldn’t sleep. "

"Thought we were in Heaven!!! What an amazing & magical place!!! We love hearing the waves every night!!! We brought groceries & did not leave until our last morning! The views,beach,& hikes were beautiful!!! Spectacular sunsets!!! Very peaceful!!! Thank you Sara for being a great host!!!"

"The home was so beautiful and fit our group of 11 people. It was spacious, comfortable, and plenty of parking. Overall convenient to the grocery stores and downtown Carmel. I’d recommend staying here and would rebook 😊"

"Sycamore Place is a well-located spacious house especially suited for families. Bathrooms were recently remodeled and kitchen had most all we needed. The nearby Crossroads Center was a convenient resource for just about everything. The management was attentive and kind as we had a family medical emergency during our stay. "
