"We were surprised that Villa Mara is a large house in a neighborhood. The entire place is very well maintained and comfortable. There are multiple sitting areas with fire pits on the property. Upon arrival we were greeted by very helpful and friendly staff offering refreshments and help with our luggage. The room was extremely nice. The bathroom had heated floors, a tub and shower. The complimentary breakfast is in line with any fine restaurant. The staff will provide beverage refreshments at anytime upon request in the bar. This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed."

"This location was pristene, beautiful and exactly the escape from the AZ heat we needed. The ability to walk into downtown Carmel was great. Walking access to the beach and a quick drive to Big Sur and Point Lobos. This house had everything we needed in the kitchen as well as beach towels ready to go. The beds were VERY comfortable and we all slept well after our days of fun!"

They were extremely knowledgeable and assisted us in navigating our way around town, well done! Definitely will be going back, appreciate you!"

"Enjoyed the hot tub. The property is very nice, but could use some new upholstery on the sofas and a new area rug in the great room. The beds and bedding were nice. The master bath was new and looked very modern. The kitchen was clean and modern.We had an issue with the smoke alarm going off two separate times late one night. Eventually someone came to take the battery out. The gentleman who came to help us understand the TV and how to program it, was very helpful.We would rent this property again."
