"This property has lots of historic pizazz, great dining and lounge spaces and we had a nice large room on the first floor. Great location walkable to the university and most sites. The desk staff was efficient if not overly friendly, as was the wait staff in the lounge. All in all, I would recommend and stay here again"

"The location is excellent for walking Oxford. Breakfast buffet was OK. Lots of options to eat close to the hotel. The room was small, but acceptable. 35GBP a day, to leave the car parked at the local shopping center was annoying."

"We had an excellent 2-night stay when I was dropping my daughter off to Oxford U. Very comfortable beds, quiet and cozy. We did not eat at the hotel as there were so many options right outside. There was a small problem with the kettle and we got a new one replaced straight away. Extremely helpful staff! We would stay here again."

"We stayed for 5 days in Oxford on a family trip. We chose the hotel because of its location, and it was definitely the best decision: the location is great, right in the heart of the city! We were able to walk almost everywhere. We stayed in a suite with a balcony, and we really recommend it: drinking that first cup of coffee while sitting on the balcony, taking in the view and feeling the city come to life, was fantastic! We really recommend the hotel: great location, very clean, and very kind and helpful staff. The suite was very comfortable, with a lot of space. And, oh, the balcony! Simply unbeatable. We'll definitely be back!"
