Great family resort

Nice and peaceful unit , not overcrowded and packed in like some of the other properties in the area. Our overall experience was great, just had some very minor things which should have been addressed by the property management company, hopefully the property owner changes to a better management company.

Great beach condo

Loved the spaciousness of this 3 bedroom condo. The view was amazing. We saw dolphins from the balcony. The beach was so close; it was an easy walk in the sand for my 75 year old mother. King size bed was so comfortable. Sliding doors in bedroom and living room did not lock though. Regardless I would come back for a fall beach stay.

Family Beach stay

50th Shrimp Fest

The area is quiet. All units have beach view balconys. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores located close at hand. The unit had plenty of room for 8 people. Wouldn't feel cramped for space. We take our annual family vaction here and we all love it.

Great oceanfront location

This property was in the best location. Close to grocery, restaurants and shopping. There are not too many large condo properties around, so there was always a great place to set up on the beach and being on the second floor made for the best views in the morning for sunrise and wildlife watching. Check in and check out were very simple. Would definitely recommend this property and likely to stay here again!

Love this quiet building!

Even during the height of spring break, we found peace and quiet at this lovely condo. We had no problem finding space at the beach and we’re a short walk or drive away from everything we needed. There was some revocation of the stairs going on when we were there but the noise didn’t last long and the great location and small building size made up for any inconvenience. Definitely would stay here again!!

Another great stay

This is our second stay at Emerald Key and our first at this condo; and once more did not disappoint in any way. Communication with property manager was responsive and excellent. Simple check-in/check-out procedures made the stay that much more enjoyable. Glad to see that the complex was completely repainted earlier this year, showing that the property is well taken care of. All of which is why we booked this unit for next year!

Everything was great. Only issue was the remote for the parking lot arm was missing, and no one brought us another one. Wasn't that big a deal though since parking outside the blocked area was still pretty close.

A wonderful week despite the construction

We were offered a stay at this property because of construction at the condo we had originally booked. Unfortunately, this building was also under construction! The actual condo was lovely and the agency was communicative and helpful. Aside from the late night and early morning construction noise, our week in Orange Beach was great!

Parking and Bathroom supplies

Parking is not guaranteed even with the two available parking spots in the listing, we had to park across the street one night. And each bathroom only came with one roll of toilet paper. Other than that the place was great and had an amazing view!

Could've been cleaner

The location was great and the house was pretty but it wasnt very clean. As soon as we walked in we found a needle and syringe sitting in the windowsill. Also there was hair all over our bathroom still and in the jacuzzi tub there was mold in the jets, along the caulk and on the shower curtain. When we arrived the garbage disposal, dishwasher and dryer didnt work but when we called and asked they always sent someone to fix it. If it was cleaner then it definitely would have gotten a 10/10

Emerald key vacation

Great location, easy beach access. Pool area was very nice, clean and loved by all. The condo does not have a dead bolt or any type child proof lock on door. Kids can escape extremely easy. There was a leak or runoff that kept the steps closest to our room slick as glass. Toddler Granddaughter and daughter in law both fell from the slick steps. The master bedroom ceiling fan and jetted tub didn’t work, plus we cleaned the master tub before using. Upon leaving we attempted to re-enter at 10:10am to remove final items from freezer and leave extra remote but code was already de-activated. We still enjoyed our stay, but for the price we expected better.

Nice Place

The property had not been checked before our arrival and we sat outside until check in time. I called the property manager and we decided I would check the condo and report any issues. The condo seemed great but only one coffee cup and very few dishes - since the condo had not been checked, we were unaware that the dishwasher was loaded with dishes at the time. I called management to report we only had one coffee cup, and they sent an agent to Target to buy 8 coffee cups! That was amazing customer service! The condo was clean, but needs wood work painting, cabinets and so forth - that part of the condo looks worn and old. The sliding doors to the balcony were broken so they didn't lock but again management stepped up and brought poles to secure the doors. Overall, it was great and I would rent again . Crye-Leike is an excellent property manager.

Construction Taking Place During Our Stay

When we arrived everything looked as it did on the posting for the property. The first day we arrived a little early so we sat on the beach until we were made aware our unit was ready. As we were on the beach we saw construction workers starting to assemble scaffolding around our building. Shortly after it started we received an email saying they were going to do so and they apologize for the inconvenience and the ownership group could not control when the work was going to be completed. They were kind enough to give us a 20% discount which sounded ok at the time but still not impressed this was happening during "Spring Break". When we got to our room the flooring in the bathrooms was dirty and there were a lot of old holes in the walls from items I am sure they had hung up at one time (Window shades, photos, etc...). We went out on our deck to see how bad the scaffolding affected out view of the ocean. First thing we noticed was the large chunk of chewing Tabacco spit out on the deck along with cigarette butts and empty water bottles/caps we feel was from the construction workers. All family photos taken off the balcony with the ocean in the back ground have the scaffolding in them, so those were deleted. During our stay the construction group had the path to the beach blocked off with a SkyTrack Fork lift and scaffolding items. We also could not use the grills at this time because of the placement of the fork lift. Approx. 1/2 the parking was taken up by construction equipment inside the metered parking which caused us to park outside the secure parking area. Construction started every morning at 7:00am. I am shocked they did not have a noise ordinance restricting them from starting until 8:00am. So much for sleeping in on vacation. As a Construction Project Manager with over 25 years in the industry, I saw many mistakes made on both the ownerships group part and construction company's part. My family plans on taking vacation during "Spring Break" again next year but I will definitely call ahead to make sure I can actually escape work and sleep in where ever we decide to go. Regards,
