Experience one of New London’s best beach destinations at Ocean Beach Park. This 50-acre (20.2-hectare) waterfront park features exciting attractions for visitors of all ages, including a pretty boardwalk and a carousel. Bring the kids for an exciting day of family fun or enjoy some time to yourself wandering along sugar-white sands on the beautiful foreshore.

Pack your beach gear and make your way to the sandy shore, where you can pick a spot to lay out your towel and take in views of the Atlantic horizon. Go for a swim when the life guards are patrolling or head to the Olympic-sized freshwater pool to do some laps. Experience the thrill of the triple waterslide or play underneath the fountains in the spray park.

Kids will love the old-fashioned rides, including a charming carousel and a miniature train. There are some exciting rides for bigger kids, too. Feel your stomach drop on The Octopus ride or feel the wind in your hair on The Bullet. Stop by the park’s arcade to experience more nostalgic joy on the traditional arcade games. Take a stroll along the park’s boardwalk and peer into the waters below. This end of the foreshore features a wonderful nature trail and some picturesque spots to enjoy a picnic. Ocean Beach Park is located a little over 10 minutes’ drive from downtown New London. Purchase single admission tickets or make the most of the parking package, which covers the cost of parking and admission for everyone in the car. The park’s attractions have individual admission fees. The park is open between Memorial Day and Labour Day.
