The pub downstairs is very convenient for food or drinks and the service is friendly. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. However, we had the "room is free for servicing" sign hanging on our door each morning but no one ever came in to clean the room. It wasn't a huge issue since we only stayed a few nights, but by the end we were running out of shampoo/soap. The pub can get a little loud later on the day but I was out and about in Dublin so I didn't notice it all too much. The room was very small with a double bed so it could be a little small for some couples. The shower is also tiny with not the best water pressure. There was no iron in the room, I didn't ask if there was one in the hotel that I could use. There is a safe and a place to put your clothes. It was further away from the hustle and bustle of the temple Bar area so it was quieter from that aspect. Keiron gave us a full run down and took care of us when we went to the bar for dinner later that night. However, I'm sad to say that the room was not great. Bed was very uncomfortable and the bathroom offered very little space to put things. The one shelf was small and it was on a hinge so things kept falling off. TV did not work, apart from 1 channel. It was raining and we just wanted to chill in the room and watch something...but no luck. Finally, so many switches that we must have forgotten to turn "on" the hot water on our departure day and had to endure cold showers. Dublin is expensive so likely the amenities reflected the price we paid. Just hoped for a bit more...again, no reflection on our host. He and his colleagues at the bar made us feel very welcome!
