The cottage itself is spacious and homely with every facility you could wish for. We loved it. Lynn has thought of everything and likes to communicate personally to ensure her guests are fully briefed about the cottage, its history and the local area. Fabulous!"

The added bonus of an on-site tennis court was much appreciated. The position of the was peaceful in spite of a busy main road nearby. The hosts thought of EVERYTHING, the house is so well equipped and has literally everything you could possibly need. Hosts were fabulous and so responsive and even included a welcome basket with wine, treats and bread and milk. We couldn't believe how cheap it was for the location, amenities and house in general. We will 100% be back"

"We stayed in the Lavender Cottage for two nights on a weekend away. The cottage is situated at a short distance from the Southwell Minster and village shops. Southwell itself is quite a compact and cute little village. The cottage is really well presented, clean and well equipped. The host, Rebecca, left us a hamper with bread, juice, milk etc. Everything was very clean and tidy. We had two cozy nights in there and the log fire was a great addition to the lovely relaxing feel the cottage has....

"Beds comfortable plenty of space and great location. Lovely Thai restaurant locally.Don’t forget to bring a cork screw or as we did ask a lovely neighbour. Hopefully heating is working for you. Do your homework before visiting as no welcome pack in the house that we could see"

"Started out disappointed as rented the ENTIRE property. This is not the case - you have shared kitchen with CCTV. Finished disappointed as accused of having child and making a racket. They forgot to check when we left and CCTV cameras - we weren’t even there. As for room - when we arrived heating was not going - they promptly got to fix issue. Room was lovely but hair on bed and floor - not ours! Location is very central- so good "

"Superbly appointed home in beautiful village location, steps from the village green, two pubs, and village shop. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen, comfortable beds, hot tub, and spacious reception room for relaxing with a glass of wine after a long day sightseeing. Hosts were gracious and helpful. "Superb place to stay if you’re going to Rock City. It’s literally next door. Great staff and a little shop of sorts selling snacks and juices to take to your room. A mean to cup coffee machine and pastry in the morning is a great touch. "
