Poor

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Warm room (air con not working) and creaky floor led to uncomfortable sleep The room was tired; bathroom too old and there was damp patches on the wall Overall: very bad and poor for a Marriott

Close to York Races

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Cons: Everyting!
Location: handy for the racecourse
Executive Room next to a broom cupboard. Kept awake until 3pm by the noise from the room below that had held a wedding party and the staff were clattering and bagging whilst they cleared up the room. Would newer stay here again or recommend it too anyone. Ruined our weekend!

Nice hotel needs cleaning

Posted 04-Sep-2016
Don't listen to customers requests, asked for for in room didn't get one. Asked at reception again once we had checked into room after we realised no cot in room, cot delivered with no bedding asked again finally sorted - how many time do you gave to request a cot. Room dirty obviously hadn't been cleaned or hoovered - won't be using hotel again

Pleasant night away

Posted 02-Sep-2016
Pros: Expected, but still good to have the option of breakfast served to the room
Cons: TV had a large selection of channels but not BBC1 or ITV1 - most peculiar ?!
Our room was tidy and well presented, more spacious than most (eg Travelodge), though as you would expect from Marriott brand.

Next to Racecourse

Posted 30-Aug-2016
Pros: Breakfast and location
Cons: Fridge didn't work. Room needed to be bigger for the money it cost.
Location: 20 mins walk to York. On the Racecourse. Really nice. Minster, Clifford's Tower and Boat Trip all recommended.
Decent hotel, not cheap. Hotel slightly tired. Our room pretty small for 150 quid. Good breakfasts.

Lovely hotel which backs onto the race course

Posted 28-Aug-2016
Pros: Everything....apart from the coffee!!
We stayed in a deluxe double room for one night. Beds were really comfortable. The room was light and airy, very clean. Toiletries and lovely towels were provided in the bathroom. There was a kettle and coffee/tea making facilities and a fridge. It is a large hotel and breakfast was quite busy. There were plenty of food options to suit everyone, including gluten free if you asked for it. Would book again if needed to stay in the area.
