"Brief stay been before"
This is a nice hotel and staff are very friendly. It is the second time we have been there . Only downside on both occasions have noticed that the road hotel is on is quite noisy at night .. also this time tv in next room on wall where we sleep and couple had it on till 1.15 am ! Not hotels fault of course but Not the best nights sleep ! . Food looks very good but haven't eaten there. Have to pay for car parking £10 overnight which I think is abit of a cheek considering carpark in hotel grounds ! Receptionist on check out didn't ask when we left if we had had a nice stay think that's a shame ...

Park Inn by Radisson York City Center

"Stylish, high quality hotel, central but quiet"
I don't know why this hotel is rated 3.5 stars - my economy single room was undeniably compact but tastefully appointed to a very high quality and standard, with a pleasing feel. There is an attention to detail in the rooms - most things feel just right. The breakfast room is a long way down a dismal corridor towards the conference centre, but looks onto the river. As a visitor you do feel more part of a conference but the breakfast offers a huge range of quality choices and is very good value. The RBG bar and restaurant is best avoided. Ghastly loud muzak and the usual children's fare of pizza, burgers etc - what passes for British hospitality these days - drove me elsewhere. Reception area feels sterile, I found the staff rather curt and lacking in charm. Minor irritants about the room - tv positioned the wrong end of the desk console so it is too close to watch comfortably from the bed - the only possible position, no proper reading lamp by the bed, bathroom light switch wrong side of the door - inconvenient if you get up in the night, fantastic quality shower but curtain inadequate to prevent spillages onto bathroom floor. Quiet riverside location convenient for station and centre a real bonus. Would definitely return.

"Ideal location for the Barbican theatre"
We were lucky enough to have two concerts booked at the Barbican theatre so Staycity was ideal as it is literally next door. We were able to enjoy the concerts , have a little drink and not worry about getting a cab or bus. Also it's close proximity to York's city centre made it ideal for all the sight seeing we did.

"Nice hotel for a short stay."
We booked the hotel last minute for a one night stay on a Sunday night. It was located in the centre of town and was great for Harrogate's attractions. The room was a little small but perfectly adequate and clean and well decorated.
