"Great hotel close to York and the nearby Designer Mall. Food served in the Fat ASbbot pub. COVID restrictions apply but everything was clean and safe. Used the pool and facilities. "We stayed in Barn Owl - very spacious room with a great shower. Everything very clean. Bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. Sue and George the dog were terrific hosts - very friendly and made us feel most welcome. Amazing breakfast also - everything super fresh. "What an absolute wonderful place to stay. Could not fault the hotel or staff. All excellent. We found out the hotel was closing for NYE. "Dower House always offers great value and care- one of my favourite stays! The rooms have been updated and very nicely decorated.
