The elevator was out of service for the duration of our three day stay, and since the artist rooms are all higher level, we essentially paid extra to walk up four flights of stairs at the end of a day. It was frustrating because the property is beautiful! They're doing some upgrades, the art on the walls of the rooms and exterior are beautiful, but paint on the door jam makes the door stick and difficult to open. The carpet in the stairs we had to use was heavily worn and torn and damaged. The bathroom in the room was dated, but functional. It's difficult, because the hotel is lovely, fascinating, I want to give them another try! But it does need upgrades in certain places to justify the price.

OK, this is a bad review because. 1) Toilet flooded on first flush. Through all the towels down to soak up water everywhere. Went to the desk. They said they would send somebody to fix it. He came and said it was fixed. 2) Toilet flooded again on next flush. Went to the desk. Asked to change rooms for the second time. They said I could not change room, as they would fix it. After the "fix" I Flushed once again, but I could see water creeping up. Not looking good. 3) Flushed again on third morning. Full of s... Rose up within 1/4" of overflowing. NOT ACCEPTABLE. THEY SHOULD HAVE CHANGED MY ROOM IMMEDIATELY. And, elevators were either broken or needing service. Waited 20 minutes to go down from floor 10. Waited again, similar. Also very poor. Would never stay here again.

Clean easy surprisingly nice spot. Reasonable for what your get. Spacious rooms. Doesn't have all the 2026 tech so bring a charger brick etc. But otherwise it's a great place to stay
