Nature Retreat | Cabin on 40 Acres, 15 Mins from Beaches

Nature Retreat | Cabin on 40 Acres, 15 Mins from Beaches

8/10 Good
"The cabin was clean, neat and so cute! There is a modern bathroom with a toilet and tub. Outdoor shower is beside cabin. The place is quiet and secluded and perfect for a nature get-away. You need to bring in some firewood and a lighter to have a small fire to cook food as there is no stove or hotplate. There is a covered picnic table area and briquet barbeques for cooking. There is electricity, and a tiny fridge. There are even some games - Uno and a deck of cards, very thoughtful. It has a few dishes, dish soap and a little sink to wash - bring drinking water, can't drink the water. Finding the cabin was difficult. Once you get in the property, off the main road, there is no signage to guide you to the cabin. I was very frustrated. I suggest the owner put some signs to point to the different cabins and a sign to say do not enter, dead end, as there is a long path that leads to no where. The owner responded immediately to my help text and guide me to the cabin - so appreciated this! What a kind person and very nice. A little mat on the deck would be helpful to keep the sand out of the cabin and a small broom and dustpan to sweep the sand that does get tracked in. I would like to go again if the price was a bit less. He does give discount midweek, very thoughtful. It's close to Port Dover, 15 mins. Overall good time, quiet and peaceful get away with a wonderful, responsive host! Thank you for making your cabins available - I will be telling many people to go to them!"

"Amazing private getaway that is so picturesque and peaceful! We’ve never seen a more beautifully landscaped pond. It is luxury! The hosts are VERY RESPECTFUL OF YOUR PRIVACY and are very intentional about creating an atmosphere where you feel like you are in a cabin in the middle of the country by yourselves! We were so impressed with the very thorough thought and intentionality that was clearly put into creating this oasis. The night time outdoor lighting is also well thought out and adds to the overall ambience. Well done at creating a very private oasis- yet so close to what you need!"
