The traditional Japanese and western bedrooms are both very good, with a lovely view of the lake on one side of the hotel. The in-room bathrooms spoil it; they are past their prime. Buffet had an enormous, interesting and delicious variety of food. Both onsens are excellent, parricularly the far outdoor one. Men's and women's facilities are swapped once per day, so both genders get to try both ends. The onsen was alright but need to take note to bring the towels down as they dont provide it below. However, the staff was all very helpful, the nightly firework shows are also viewable from our room which was a bonus & the morning view of the mountain at 4/5am WAS SOOOO GORGEOUS IT FELT MAGICAL! The morning breakfast was also good but not amazing! Overall will still stay here for the experience and the beautiful view! We didnt know that they will come n setup the tatami for us so we did it on our own without any knowledge. When we back from dinner, someone came over. He was standing outside n see that we already did it, he just said ok and wanna walk away. We asked him to check he just simply walk in and dont even bother to check thru and said it was correct. Till we went to the next hotel with tatami setup, then we know we did it wrong way for the blanket.
