North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

New Orleans hits differently in the fall - the parades begin their run, the air carries a welcome coolness, and the neighborhoods around Mid-City settle into that particular rhythm that keeps people coming back. This four-bedroom home on a single level gives groups of up to eight a comfortable, well-considered place to land - spacious enough to spread out, and thoughtfully stocked for stays of any length.
Living space
The open interior is set up for both easy evenings and productive days. Settle in for a movie night with the HDTV and Roku, or head to the dedicated workspace - enclosed in its own room with a door - when you need to focus. Fast Wi-Fi and an Ethernet connection support everything from remote work to planning your next outing. Central air conditioning and heating, plus ceiling fans, keep the temperature comfortable regardless of what the weather brings.
Sleeping arrangements
Four bedrooms are each fitted with beds, soft linens, and room-darkening shades to help you sleep through the morning after a late night out. Generous clothing storage - including a walk-in closet and additional closet space - means there’s room to properly unpack and settle in. A safe, iron, and hangers are on hand for those who need them.
Kitchen & dining
The fully equipped kitchen handles everything from quick morning coffee to a proper group dinner. A Frigidaire refrigerator, electric stove, single oven, microwave, and dishwasher form the core setup, while cooking basics, dishes, silverware, wine glasses, a toaster, and a baking sheet take care of the details. Coffee is provided, and the dining table gives everyone a seat around a shared meal.
Bathroom
Three bathrooms keep busy mornings moving for larger groups. Each is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and shower gel, with a hair dryer and hot water on hand. At least one bathroom features a bathtub - a welcome way to wind down after a full day on your feet in the city.
Outdoor living
A private patio or balcony and private backyard - furnished with outdoor seating and a BBQ grill - give you space to gather outside on the mild evenings that fall in New Orleans often brings. One free driveway parking space is on the premises, with free street parking also available nearby. A shared heated pool is accessible on the property, open year-round and stocked with pool toys - a useful option for warmer days.
Family-friendly features
Families traveling with younger children can request a pack ‘n play/travel crib and folding or convertible high chair ahead of arrival, and babysitter recommendations are available. In-unit washer and dryer, along with a full set of bath essentials, make longer visits comfortable for the whole group.

The home sits in Mid-City, one of New Orleans’ most connected neighborhoods. The Canal Streetcar runs nearby, putting downtown within easy reach. City Park and the Lafitte Greenway bike path are a short distance away, as is the Endymion parade route - a highlight for anyone visiting in the lead-up to Mardi Gras season. Trader Joe’s, Frenchmen Street, Bourbon Street, local cafés, and neighborhood po’boy shops make daily life genuinely easy. Self check-in via smart lock and a private entrance mean arrival is straightforward at any time.
