Settle into the rhythm of New Orleans from one of its most storied neighborhoods - the Lower Garden District, where cast-iron balconies, live oaks, and the hum of the streetcar set the scene. This renovated three-bedroom home strikes a balance between classic Creole character and thoughtful modern updates, giving you a comfortable base to eat, explore, and unwind in true New Orleans fashion.
Living space The heart of the home is a warm, light-filled living room anchored by exposed beams that nod to the building's history. Sink into the seating, pull up the 50" HDTV, and stream your favorites across Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, and Netflix. Central air conditioning and heating keep things comfortable no matter the season, and fast Wi-Fi alongside a dedicated workspace with a door means staying connected is never a hassle.
Sleeping arrangements Three bedrooms offer a restful escape after long days in the city, each dressed with cotton bed linens, room-darkening shades to block out the morning light, and clothing storage to help you settle in properly. With three beds and 2.5 bathrooms spread across the home, groups and families have the breathing room they need.
Kitchen & dining The chef's kitchen is the kind you'll actually want to cook in - stocked with a Frigidaire refrigerator, Frigidaire electric stove, Frigidaire single oven, microwave, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, toaster, baking sheet, cooking basics, and a full set of dishes and silverware. Pull up a chair at the dining table for a home-cooked meal, or kick off the morning with a cup of coffee before heading out to Magazine Street.
Bathroom Two and a half bathrooms mean no queuing for the morning routine. Guests will find shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, hair dryer, and cleaning products already in place - just arrive and unwind.
Family-friendly extras Traveling with young children? A pack 'n play/travel crib and a folding or convertible high chair with food tray are both available upon request, and the team can point you toward babysitter recommendations if needed. An in-unit washer and dryer, iron, hangers, safe, and first aid kit round out the practical essentials that make longer stays feel easy.
Outdoor space & parking A private entrance leads out to a patio and backyard - a quiet spot to take in some fresh air. Free street parking is available, and self check-in via smart lock means you can arrive on your own schedule without coordinating with anyone.
Location Magazine Street is a short walk away, with its stretch of independent boutiques, neighborhood cafés, and local restaurants. Annunciation Square sits nearby for a quieter moment outdoors. Location felt safe, Walmart was about a 7 min walk, downtown was about a 15 min uber. Would definitely stay here again! Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean, livingroom was comfy!
Great location for a family wedding. Perfect place for our family to stay. Cute restaurant for breakfast and pastries next door, and great seafood and sandwiches on corner. Would stay again!
The location is great--if you're here for Mardi Gras with kids, get a wagon and walk up to St. Charles! There's also a Walmart around the corner, which was really helpful for stocking up. We really liked the space!
Nice stay, clean, convenient, near a Walmart for the groceries... We would have like more kitchen tools, cutlery and bowls (for a family of 6), but we managed very well. Thank you again for the wonderful stay!
pros / cons
pro - two block from super walmart and next door to a great cafe
con - bedroom window was broken when we arrrived but was fixed in a few days.
pro - safe walking at night
con - for a notherer i was not accustom to cold floor in Dec it makes sense :) just was not prepared.
pro - parking right out the front door.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and clean and in good proximity to everything we wanted to get to. The house is just on the edge of a semi industrial area but close enough to magazine Street that it felt pretty safe. The only thing to note is that there is a rooster next-door and he likes to wake up at 6:30. I found it charming but I am also an early riser.
Nice clean house. The beds were very nice in each bedroom. Bathrooms are very nice. The TV area wasn’t good. Couch and TV are very low to the ground and the couch isn’t comfortable. We were there for our daughter’s wedding. It was very close to the venue and lots of great places are in walking distance. Would stay there again!
Access and parking to the location is excellent. The size of the apartment is great for a group. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. Response time to questions was fast.
This was a beautiful property and absolutely perfect for our first Family Weekend at Tulane!! I would definitely stay here again!! We all wanted to stay longer!
This place is great!! There's a little cafe that just opened next door called Dragonfly Cafe. Great food! Also right by Turkey and the Wolf and tons of other very well known eateries. Really love the house location and would definitely recommend this place. All necessary amenities were provided.
The cutest house ever. It had everything we needed. Clean, easy to get to, close to Magazine St. with great restaurants nearby and just a short drive to the French Quarter. It was quiet with parking right in front. Owner was great to work with. Would absolutely stay here again.
What a great vacation property in an ideal location close to downtown New Orleans. For 6 adults we were comfortable, and had plenty of room to spread out and relax when we were not out at the Essence festivities. For the price, location, amenities we would recommend this property to others for a New Orleans stay.
Convenient spot, surprisingly quiet and easy walk to Magazine St. Quick access to interstate. The house was great! Clean, comfortable and spacious. Remote check in was a breeze.
My friends and I went to New Orleans November 5-7 for a birthday trip. Not only did we enjoy the city but we enjoyed this particular Vrbo. My friends were expecting the worse from previous experiences they’ve had with other hosts/homes but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived! Definitely will be booking with them again in the future.
The place was just as pictured! Cute, comfy, and clean. The home was very spacious and was perfect our stay. It was located super close to Magazine Street and we were able to walk to tall kinds of places.
Walking distance to Irish Channel and Garden District. Easy Uber ride to & from French Quarter. Great po' boy sandwiches at Parasols in the Irish Channel. Get the oyster po' boy! Temps fluctuated from hot & muggy to cold but we had both heat and A/C. Surprise bonus on our last night, we attended a Mardi Gras parade on St Charles in the Garden District. Discovered it by accident.
Really enjoyed our long weekend in New Orleans. This was the perfect home base for getting around to all the things that we did. Super easy access and relaxed comfortably when we were at the house! Definitely considering this property every time we visit.
