"The room appeared tired with predominantly dull brown furniture though armchair seating in our upgraded room was comfortable. The bed seemed springy but in fact we both slept well. Best feature of the room was the bathroom which appeared to have been renovated recently with a roomy walk in shower. Carpeting and flooring throughout was worn and uneven. On arrival the reception and check-in process was ponderous and rather flat. Breakfast the following morning was sparse with few options. Saving grace was the cooked to order menu and made more enjoyable by the cheery and efficient service from Cara - how great to see such a confident and motivated young person."

The hot tub was great and the views from every window in the cottage is absolutely stunning! The owners left us a elxokr hamper which was a nice touch. We will definitely return."
