Fantastic accommodation in a perfect location. Fran & Jamie are most welcoming and attentive to all needs. Our room was spotlessly clean & tastefully furnished. There were two mince pies left in our room for us on arrival, a lovely festive gesture. Breakfast was delicious, absolutely anything you could ask for, along with freshly baked bread of which the aroma filled the Hotel first thing in the morning. Just an all rounder property, would definitely stay again if visiting York

Ideal location. 10 mins walk to York Centre. Parking at hotel perfect. Breakfast cooked to order. Delicious! Room spacious, clean, comfy huge bed!

A near perfect stay at Delta hotels. The food, staff and pool were perfect. The only minus was the room’s bathroom which desperately needs an upgrade. Otherwise a great hotel next to the racecourse with a beautiful walk down the river into York. Would definitely come back.

Always been impressed by the personal service by the owners. Rooms are spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated. Beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous. Cannot fault any of it and it's our 3rd stay. A leisurely stroll to the city centre and perfect for many attractions and restaurants. Highly recommended in every aspect. A bonus in having their own car park too. Staff are all very helpful and polite and nothing is ever at trouble. Looking forward to our next stay.

We had a lovely stay at Marmadukes. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and when we had a problem with our room we were moved straight away without any fuss. It's a beautiful building and in a great location from which to discover York. Would definitely recommend!

Everything marvelous except parking a slight problem.

We have read other reviews regarding this hotel some of them not very complimentary frankly they are obviously deranged. Our experience was excellent, the hotel was clean, the rooms comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive especially Stuart whom served us our breakfasts for our 2 day stay We couldn't work out what any poor review was based on unless those people were extremely pretentious and thoughts they deserved better? Lovely inside,lovely host and great breakfast. Didnt like so many lights on outside the room and cushions on the bed as they are not able to be washed at 60 degrees and generally just a waste of space.

I love the design of the Indigo hotels and this one is no different. Staff very friendly. Location good with lots of bars, restaurants and independent shops nearby. (The Spanish restaurant across the road is really friendly as we popped in for a glass of fizz. ) would definitely recommend it

Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...

Lovely old building a stones throw from city centre. Staff incredibly helpful. Would definitely recommend.
