"My stay at Church End Cottage was absolutely fabulous I have to say that. A very cozy stay in this garden house place which I found to have very pleasant window views as well as a very clean and tidy interior. Absolutely a place I'd go back any time as well as happy to recommend it to anyone which likes rather rural and remote bed and breakfast stays. Speaking of breakfast, that was amazing, all home made. Just a gem!"

"I was very impressed by how neat and clean the room was upon arrival. The staff members were exceptionally welcoming and made me feel right at home. I appreciated how clearly they communicated with me throughout my stay. Every interaction with the team was professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant experience."

"Staff very nice and helpful. Lovely front lounge. Simple things could have made a difference. Rooms were nice but weren’t fully clean. Lamps were dusty, corners of bathroom floor had dirt from previous clients. Dirty handprint marks on toilet doors. Only 2 towels left out for a triple room and one toilet roll. Restaurant was empty and looked more like a bright school canteen. Not inviting. Warmer lights and maybe room dividers may have made it more cosy. Sports bar was closed when we were there. Felt like it had been a great spot but now feels a bit tired. Great potential to improve by simple changes."

"Booked as I had a course starting early morning nearby. Price was good particularly when factoring the use of the pool and sauna. The room was large and clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The car park was well lit with plenty of parking available. I had an evening meal and breakfast. My stay was on a Sunday night which has a reduced menu with the main meal options being a choice of Pizzas or burgers. I opted for the beef burger which was delivered delicious. Plenty of choice for breakfast which was also delicious. Made good use of the pool and sauna during my stay and found the pool sauna and changing room clean and well maintained. There are lockers in the changing room which you need a pound coin to operate. To prevent overcoming you need to book a time slot at reception. Minor minus points. Include de missing privacy flap to the spy hole on the room side of the door, no usb or usb charging points in the room and no usb or plugs near the bed. Would also like to see porridge as an option for breakfast"

"An old building and we had stayed just once before the current owners took on the hotel. The staff were friendly, excellent prices for drinks both in the restaurant and bar. The Sri Lankan food was superb, tasty and full of flavour, next time I'll as for it to be hotter. The room was clean, comfortable despite being in an old building. Bathroom spotless, lovely fluffy towels, perhaps a little smell of damp in them. We will certainly return."

"Everything about the hotel and health club were great except the petty towel argument going on between the 2. The receptionist told us what facilities we could use but didn't advise us to take our room towels with us. If you don't take them, you have to pay £2 to hire one or walk back and get them. The spa receptionist then told us about the towel argument and history. As a customer, I didn't need any of this, I just needed a towel. We then carried our wet towels back to our room and asked reception for some dry ones to use in the room shower."
