Hotels near Neptune Av. Station, New York

"Attended wedding @ The Palm House. Hotel close enough to walk to venue in good weather. Staff was welcoming & efficient. Room was clean. Linens & towels were fresh & clean. Renovated fairly recently but quality of tile work a bit shoddy (sloppy grouting). Only bright overhead lights, no bedside or desk lamps. Breakfast was run of mill, if looking for hearty meal, probably plan on eating elsewhere. Decent restaurants within walking distance. We loved The Bobbed Bandit, 429 Rogers Ave. There's room for some guest parking in back but wasn't allowed to park there during our visit. Perhaps since parking spaces weren't lined out yet? Was able to pull up on ample sidewalk in front of lobby to unload & load our luggage. Typical hotel AC/heating units at base of room window. Did not use AC or heat though. Street parking only. We inquired about pay garage, & told to park in Loden Garage, 54 Crown St. $34 for 24 hrs. 9 min (0.4 mi) walk back to hotel. There is a closer parking garage @ Lidl grocery store, less than a block away, but did not look into price or if overnite parking was allowed. "

"The breakfast area was challenging to get food as the few tables are intruding upon the line area. Too cramped. Then the food itself was so so. The sausages were too tough to eat. Not the worst, but far from the best."

"Second time staying at this location while visiting my son who lives nearby. Always a good deal, and clean rooms. Rooms are quite small but we only sleep there so it doesn't matter. Free breakfast is good and filling. Will stay here again. "
