This is really the only hotel in the area, so I didn't have many choices... Had to pay extra ($60) for early check in, which added to an already exorbitant amount considering there are no amenities, no room service, not even water or tea in the room. There's coffee - but no water.
While beyond the staff's control (I get it, I really do), a fire alarm went off 10 minutes to midnight. There were no attempts at informing the guests of what actually happened nor any attempts at actually mitigating the situation. I was hoping for at least some signs of hospitality or maybe even removing the extra change for early check in? Nothing
The worst thing was that someone (I am hoping staff!), without knocking, walked into my room and scared me half to death! The only reason I didn't pepper spray them is because she had a clipboard in her hands and I was awake and dressed.
