Decent hotel for business trip.

Hotel was good, I would stay there again. Plumbing issues in my room, the shower was not working properly but apart from that the room was nice. Front desk / reception is very slow. But the restaurant area is nice and you can sit outside which is lovely. WiFi was good.

15 mins from hotel; nice staff; small room

Convenient to airport; lovely lobby and friendly staff; restaurant is overpriced so I didn't have breakfast. The staff held bags after checkout and even let me use the gym and spa in late afternoon after a day of sightseeing, to kill time before night flight, without any extra charge, so that was very nice of them and makes this a good choice if you want somewhere to come back to and shower without having to pay for another day.

Good and safe location near the airport

Posted 11-Dec-2015 on Hotels
Stayed at Ole-Sereni on a two days business trip. Service is super, all very friendly and helpful. My room was all right, but wasn't super clean. Dirty wall by the sink, and also had few toilet articles like shower gel, conditioner etc. But the location is great if you need to be close to the airport, and the staff and service really makes it worth it.

Great business hotel.

Business trip of 4 days based around Embakasi and Wilson - excellent venue in terms of convenience, comfort and avoidance of the Nairobi traffic bedlam. Security looks good too. Recommended

Glad just one night there !

Hotels Common areas are nice and well maintained. Staff can be a hit or miss could not find booking and insisted there was just one room when we had booked for two. A design issue with the entire property. Difficult to enter into the compound, difficult to locate the reception - through a maze from ground floor to first floor via the restaurant through a common bar area- needed a GPS within the building.Rooms unbelievably small with the bathroom and sink within the room giving very little privacy. I stayed there due to the airport proximity would avoid next time.

Gone downhill, will not return

Posted 04-Dec-2015 on Hotels
I have always stayed at ole sereni when having business in the industrial areas. This time I see that things have gone downhill and improvements are unlikely until 2017. When I returned to Nairobi a week later I stayed elsewhere and an unlikely to return again. The view over the national park is good however over 3 Days not a single animal site, most likely due to the construction disturbance. The TVs in the room give off a constant blue light, with the rooms being so small this effects sleep. The shower runs into the rest of the bathroom as the seals are not maintained. Wifi is hit and miss. Food not as good as it use to be. During a power out the generator was also down for many hours, staff put candles around but management was nowhere to be seen to apologise for the inconvenience. This is Africa and would be acceptable if you the price per night wasn't so high. There are better hotels around for the price as I discovered and I will not return here when next in nairobi for business.

Well located to Airport and right on the Game park

Posted 29-Nov-2015
Pros: Its location to airport. The efficiency of the staff and service to get things resolved and sorted fast. We all have our own requirements travelling
Cons: Speed of service at times a little slow
Location: Close to airport and Nairobi game reserve/park
This hotel is close to the airport and avoids the terrible traffic of Nairobi. It also is a great place to meet people for business meetings. if you need a place to relax and regenerate yourself this hotel with its view of the Nairobi game farm and the water hole to see animals some and leave is awesome.

Room with a view of the Nairobi National Park

Posted 03-Nov-2015
Pros: A big shout out to Edith and Elijah both whom work in the Big Five Dining room. Could not have ask for a nicer wait staff.
Cons: No ATM on Site. Limited currency exchanged; only certain currency accepted. An ATM in the hotel would have been very helpful.
Location: Close by is there are number of things to due. We visited the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and adopted our own baby orphaned elephant.
Stay here both when we arrived in Kenya for two days and then one more day as we headed back home. Close to both airports that service Nairobi. The Hotel provided storage of our extra baggage while we were on Safari for a week. We had extra baggage because the week prior we climbed Kilimanjaro and with the storage provide we did not need to haul around an extra 30 kilos of camping/climbing gear.

The hotel is a concrete building: Sound carries, and I did not have one peaceful night. The food is excellent and extremely pricey. The staff were just lovely. We saw some animals in the distance.
