Great location by the JR station, and very easy access to the city's tourist destinations. It is close very close to many restaurants and other shopping locations which is also nice. The beds and rooms were clean but small, which during our stay wasn't a big deal. The breakfast was serviceable for our one night stay but I wouldn't recommend it for any longer if you're not strapped for time. My only grip was that the rooms HVAC was slow to change temperatures. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again though. If you're a JR Pass User like me, This is hands down, the place to stay. It's literally in front of Nagano Station, what could be more convenient than that? There's especially so much to see around here that you definitely can make great use of your JR Pass while staying here. I also recommend the Katsu Restaurant in the 3rd floor of the station, it's to die for.
