Located in Murphy NC, just 10 minutes from Downtown Murphy in a peaceful and tranquil setting, this beautiful real log cabin has a hot tub, internet, air Hockey, BBQ grill, huge covered deck area, spacious loft area, fully equipped kitchen with all the necessities to prepare all the daily meals, private bathroom for the master bedroom, beautiful real wood floors and cathedral ceilings, paved roads and easy access, fireplace, excellent setting in the NC mountains. Cabin is tastefully decorated with a huge loft area with an Amish made bunk bed and a sofa bed. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom has a queen sized bed. Comes with satellite TV with HBO included, boardgames, linens and towels are provided. Come enjoy this peaceful mountain area and yet still have the luxury of a modern home. Hot spa and pool table are new. The cabin sleeps 8, but it is perfect for 3 couples traveling together or for an extra spacious romantic get-away. We accept Visa & MC


Location: Murphy is a small mountain town snuggled into the rugged Nantahala National Forest in the southwest corner of North Carolina, and is the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and neighboring Pisgah National Forest. Murphy's spectacular, age-old, Appalachian setting provides gift shopping and an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern day life.
The cabin is located in the beautiful and romantic Arrowhead mountain, just 7 miles west of Downtown Murphy. The roads leading to the cabin are paved and well maintained. Easy access to the main highway. The parking is safe. The setting is peaceful and relaxing. you will enjoy the hot tub in a large deck surrounded by gorgeous woods and a great view. WiFi Inernet, Pool table available for late night entertainment along with board games and a BBQ grill. You will enjoy a peaceful setting with no neighbors and a hot tub that is operational 365 days a year.

Spacious living quarters: One of the things you will enjoy about this cabin is the spacious living areas. This 1500 sq feet cabin has an enormous loft area, all wood, with windows to the outside to enjoy the view. the loft area has an Amish made bunk-bed and a sofa bed to accommodate extra guests. The covered deck area has a hot tub to relax and enjoy nature at its finest. There is a gas BBQ. The rooms are comfortable with all the furniture needed for an extended stay. The beds are new and are super comfortable. Everything in the house is new.

Activities: The Smoky Mountains offers a wide range of activities. Whitewater rafting in the Ocoee (site of 1996 Olympics), just a short 15 minute drive, and enjoy the excitement of rafting class 3 and 4 rapids. The Nantahala river offers class 2 and 3 rapids. Ducktown canoeing is also a short 15 to 20 minute drive. The Smoky Mountain railroad offers great views of the Smokies. Rent a pontoon boat or Jet Skis in one of Western Carolina's beautiful lakes. Hike or mountain bike one of our many trails and enjoy nature. See the waterfalls of the Western Carolina. Enjoy a first class casino. Visit Chattanooga, TN, a short and lovely 85 minute drive. Golf the challenging and beautiful gold club in Murphy, a short 15 minute drive. The visitors center in Murphy offers many brochures in order to plan your stay more effectively.

Cozy Cabin

This cabin was beautiful. Loved our stay here! The cabin had everything a family needed to rest and relax and not even have to leave. The board games, pool table and ping pong table was a lot of fun for a family with two young adult children, The entire family had an amazing trip and stay! This canon was very clean and made us feel at home.

Great Stay With Amenities

This was a great place for our family of four with a 15 and 8 year old. The ping pong and pool table were a big hit and we loved there was still a Christmas tree lit up. The hot tub was awesome and the provided linens was a plus. If you want a good escape away, this is the place. We enjoyed hanging out in the cabin due to the rainy weather.

The house 🏡 is nice. I was hoping for more of a view but still enjoyed the deck. Drive to town is convenient if you forgot to bring anything.

Murphy NC Cabin

Cabin very comfortable. Nice hot tub and lovely covered porch. Kitchen well equipped. It is not centrally located. Everything is within an hour to an hour and a half, except for the town of Murphy which is very nice with some good restaurants. Overall, it was very nice.

Property was as advertised with amenities. Quite and Cozy. Bed in master bedroom was very comfortable. Gas fire place keep us nice and warm with the temperatures down in the twenties at night. Enjoyed the hot tub every evening. We were very satisfied with our stay and will be going back to this rental again.

Beautiful

This property is amazing! The hot tub was divine. Everything we needed was provided. Love all the selections of games available as well. The only thing that I would change is the checkout process. It is lengthy. I also believe that removing the trash bags ourselves to a collection facility miles away is a little excessive. Especially on a Sunday. Other than that, the location is perfect.

Fall Vacation 2023

Let me start by saying the cabin was beautiful. A few small issues that I feel should be corrected. The BBQ grill needs to be replaced, it was falling apart. The closet in the spare bedroom was locked so guest had no place for their clothes. The toaster did not work. The fire pit was not prepared for us, if we had used it we would have burned the cabin down. 12 miles to closet town.

The location and the cabin is self is beautiful. It did need some light bulbs replaced there was quite a bit of them burned out. It needs better light in the kitchen. There was bugs I did see quite a bit of roaches. Including German roaches needs to be professionally sprayed once a month. Hot tub was really nice but it actually needs the proper type of cover over it had to keep adding water to it every day. There's plenty of pots and pans and dishes and utensils that was really nice. The pool table was a bonus. Plenty of board games

It was ok but needs cleaning

Cons: 1. the hallway bathroom tub was not clean 2. food was in taps on the stove 3. killed a spider in the bedroom, killed a bug in bathroom, and killed a roach in the kitchen 4. all the jets in the hot tub do not work the same and the temperature seemed to be slow to warm 5. found long blonde hair on chairs and all of our hair is dark 6. dust and hair in and around dryer/washer area Pros: 1. area is quiet and easy to find. Great location 2. easy check in and out 3. family areas were great by the fireplace 4. beds were comfortable and sleeping quarters were roomy Overall, we enjoyed our stay but the cabin could really benefit from a good cleaning and the hot tub serviced.

A dreamy mountain stay off a memorable stretch of highway

From the moment I pulled up to this beautiful cabin, I was struck hard by its easy charms. We loved cooking dinner over the fire pit, drinking coffee on the patio and dipping into the hot tub after a day of hiking and adventuring. We headed east on US-64 the first day to explore waterfalls in Nantahala National Forest, about an hour and a half from the cabin but twisting through a memorable stretch of highway. Go to Dry Falls! Just 15 minutes the other way takes you into Tennessee where US-64 runs along the Ocoee River, which was gorgeous at sunset. Another day, less than an hour and a half north on US-74, we explored Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which was breathtaking, with more winding roads through charming towns and campgrounds. The views were spectacular, and at night the stars overhead were bright and mesmerizing. Overall, the cabin was cozy and quite close to convenient stores like Piggly Wiggly and Walmart if you need to restock anything. We loved putting on the DirectTV radio and shooting pool in the loft. This cabin has everything you need and more for a proper getaway that's agonizing to pull yourself away from when you've got to get home. Thank you for all the special touches and campy cabin knick knacks.

Relaxing Cabin indeed!

My family of 4 stayed for 5 days in this cabin and really had a relaxing time. The owner was helpful in giving directions but I would say be sure you bring a GPS with you to find other stores, such as Wal-Mart etc. The cabin was exactly as shown and described in the pictures. Cabin was clean as well. We actually got snowed in during our stay because the raods leading to the cabin were covered in ice and snow. When we contacted the department referred to us by the police department for clearing the roads, we were told that we were in a private subdivision therefore it was the responsibility of the owner to clear the streets. Luckily, after about 24 hours, a local plumber came up (making a trip to a different cabin) and he too was unable to get back down the mountain so he called in another local with a 4x4 and a bunch of salt for the roads, and were able to clear the road enough for us to leave. Other then that, we had an amazing trip. The little town of Murphy is very laid back and friendly. The area is NOT AT ALL a 'touristy' place but definitely a place to kick back and relax. We were surprised to find that when we got there, not only was there a pool table in the loft, but an air hockey table as well. They both were convenient for out family during our down time.

The Owner doesn't bother to listen.

When we arrived, we could not get the key out, but did find the master bedroom unlocked, we went in and the place hadn't been cleaned at all, no beds made, nothing! When I booked this month's prior, I stressed to Richard how important this vacation was. It had been 3 years since previous vacation. I was battling cancer for the second time. I stressed the need for the place to be clean, not only due to COVID, but also due to me being immunocompromised. As I said we discussed this month's prior to coming. Richard assured me I had nothing to worry about. Needless to say very disappointing. We called, he blamed the people he has cleaning the place, they were very sweet and stated he never told them we were coming. Richard promised to refund money by 10/15/20, he never has and today is 10/21/20. Will NEVER book there again, due to him throwing innocent people under the bus for his forgetfulness and for not giving the refund he had promised. If you do book here, don't believe a word he says, he does not care about the people who rent from him. Very 😞 disappointed.
