Beautiful Hotel

Posted 14-Jul-2016
Pros: Rooms, butler service, room service.
Cons: Rude hostess at the breakfast buffet -making fun of my Canadian accent and terrible massage at the spa.
Excellent Hotel, well appointed. The staff are very good and really tried to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are beautiful, large and well appointed. The area around the hotel isn't as nice as the hotel, however the mall attached is.

clean, classy and very professional staff

Thoroughly enjoyed our business trip, staff most helpful without being a nuisance.Room was great, the only thing that i didn't appreciate was the mosques call to prayer 5 time a day especially at 5.15 am. Maybe get better soundproofing so guests don't need to be woken up by this after a very long flight.

Attention with excessively attentive staff

Posted 03-Jun-2016
Pros: Loved the food, pool, and art work within the hotel! Was like visiting a museum!
Cons: I wouldn't return to the spa. Nothing was bad, but it wasn't extraordinary either and they charge extraordinary prices.
Location: Located directly above a great shopping mall! Was able to buy lots of gifts and souvenirs while staying here.
In general, I had a very lovely stay at the hotel. The breakfast buffet at Seven kitchens is one of the best I've ever seen! The butlers were helpful in repairing a minor mending to my clothes... However, the attentiveness of hotel staff is a bit excessive and at times I felt it was a bit intrusive. I appreciate that they were able to help me as I needed, but I had the feeling I was a secretary on my own vacation... Constantly answering phone calls, questions, people coming into the room numerous times per day. By the end it didn't feel as if I was able to really relax. I have a collection of staff business cards greater than I have ever seen in my life! There needs to be a fine balance between attentiveness and privacy. Maybe St. Regis will be able to find this balance in the future...

Best service ever. Roof top bar was great fun. 7 kitchens might be the best breakfast spot ever. Pool was also very nice. Beds and linens were top notch. Shower was perfect.

Luxury in Mumbai

Posted 26-Apr-2016
Pros: the service, the food and the views from all angles and floors.
Cons: waiting time for the lifts to the rooms (from the ground floor) can be lenghty on week-end nights as the lifts are shared with external party-goers
Location: Lower Parel, Race Course, High Street Phoenix shopping center
Great service, excellent staff , very dedicated to the guest confort. The St Regis also has one of the best buffet breakfast ever experienced. Location wise it is on top of a very busy 'western style' shopping center filled with both international and (some) local brands and a selection of restaurants / fast food places. Close to the city center and the business center of the city it is a great base to explore or work.

An unforgetable experience!

Posted 13-Apr-2016 on Hotels
My stay at the St Regis was unforgetable! Prior to my arrival, I informed the hotel that it was my sisters birtday during our stay. When we arrived, she was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers and the warmest welcome from the St Regis team and more especially Maryam. Later that day a beautiful cake was sent to the room, we were most appreciative of. The hotel service was fantastic and the room as beautiful. Dinner at By the Mekong was devine and the attention to detail immaculate! As I am a food and beverage manager from a large hotel brand in South Africa, I must commend the team at the St Regis of the outstanding job that they are doing creating unforgetable experiences for guests.
