This is one of the best and most iconic hotels worldwide, period.
The rooms way look better than in the pictures, they're in pristine conditions and are modern even though they don't look like it (it's just the old design).
As for service, it's stellar, every single staff will try to serve you the best.
About my only complaint during my stay is how fuzzy when taking videos or pictures around the property.
I have a fairly semi professional looking camera, it's a big no-no for them. But phone cameras are fine. It's 2021, phone cameras are as good as any camera out there, and with the extra processing you can get better pictures right away (without the extra processing of any camera)...
However there's certain like the selection of lenses you can use for fisheye, bokeh, compressing the background and others that can only be achieved with a proper camera.
I don't get what's the fuzz about using a dedicated camera over an smartphone, it's not like I'm using a flash or anything else that might bother anyone. It is not, by a far stretch, a professional camera or shots for commercial purposes.
Phone cameras now are having far higher resolution than most modern cameras (with exception of medium format or very professional cameras).
On such a beautiful, iconic place, with tons of of beautiful areas for you to take pictures and share I was approached a number of endless times by the staff saying that video recording is not allowed. As well, on the pool, on the main staircase, etc
