Nice hotel in a relatively quiet surrounding

Posted 30-Jun-2016
Pros: Hotel's location, with very helpful Guest Services and courteous staff.
Cons: Certainly the room A/C system and adequate amounts of essential supplies
Hotel services and staff were good and helpful. Rooms are air-conditioned but don't have controls other than off/on. Air-conditioning maintains a temperature of 20 degrees C. We were at the hotel in late June when monsoon rains were heavy and frequent. We were cold and wanted higher temperature, say at least of 22 degrees C, but couldn't get it so had to turn the A/C off and let the temperature and unfortunately humidity rise. Also, during the week we were there, there was a shortage of small towels and had call service when we needed them. Other than these situations, our stay in that room was comfortable. Food at the Coffee Shop was excellent and met our requirements as was the service.

Nice hotel and very close to the beach

Posted 06-Apr-2016
Pros: The food at Kebab Hut
Cons: Include internet for free especially for customers that take the executive rooms
I last stayed at the Sun-n-sand hotel just over 10 years ago and this time it was an even better experience. The whole hotel including the rooms have been refurbished as the layout has changed.

The Hotel Staff

Posted 30-Mar-2016
Pros: The breakfast buffet, the view of the beach and the room was very comfortable.
Cons: Treat all people with respect stop treating other races as if there in a zoo
Location: Too too many people beggars and con artist everywhere. 2000 rupees for a cab ride that would normally cost 400 rupees to Kemps Corner.
With the exception of the one receptionist (clerk) that handled most of our visit. The rest of the staff treated or made us feel like circus freaks. Treating me and my wife like they never seen black and white people together I mean the whole staff came out to just look and stare whenever we came to ask a question. They came out of the wood work just to stare without saying a word. In the gym and restaurant also very uncomfortable and disrespectful.

Great hotel near to the beach.

Location: There is not a lot to do nearby. Mumbai city is 15 miles away.
This is a top class hotel that is some 15 miles from the centre of Mumbai and is not to be recommended if you wish to spend most of your time in the city. A taxi return is around £20 to £25. Tuk Tuk's are not allowed in Mumbai City. There is not much to do in the immediate location of the hotel but the facilities and service at the hotel cannot be faulted.

Nice hotel close to shopping areas and the sea. Food excellent, room small but comfortable. Some of the staff need customer service training though
