Thinking it would be a one off we booked again due mainly to the fantastic location. This year we were two couples and all four of us got sick to varying degrees with three of us unable to ski for a day. The hotel staff reported that other guests and staff were sick but that it was “stomach flu” that was in the resort. (Last year they claimed that it was gastroenteritis that was in the resort) We had four other friends on the holiday that we skied and socialised with who were staying elsewhere. They had no issues with sickness. I have had over forty skiing holidays in the Alps and have been sick twice, both in this hotel. This hotel clearly has a problem and the staff and management are denying it. We will not be back. The location is excellent, with direct access to the ski slopes which made getting out on the mountain very easy. Having the ski rental shop inside the hotel was also very convenient and saved us a lot of time each morning. The spa area, however, felt a bit outdated and would definitely benefit from a refresh. While it is a nice facility, it doesn’t quite match the expectations you might get from the photos. The outdoor pool looks fantastic in the pictures, but unfortunately the water temperature was much colder than expected. As a result, the pool was empty most of the time during our stay – it simply wasn’t warm enough for most guests to use comfortably. Overall, the hotel has a great location and some very convenient features for skiers, but the spa and pool area could be improved to better match the rest of the experience."
