The best areas to stay in Morval are the village centre for convenience and easy access to local amenities, or the surrounding countryside for a quieter, more secluded experience.

The village centre of Morval is a compact and traditional Cornish village. It's built around the historic Morval Parish Church and features a handful of local shops and a pub, The Old Inn, which is a focal point for the community. The main street, Church Street, runs through the heart of the village, providing easy access to everything. This area is great for couples who appreciate being able to stroll to a local eatery in the evening and enjoy the village's character.

For those seeking more tranquility and scenic views, staying in the immediate countryside surrounding Morval is an excellent choice. This area is characterised by rolling hills, narrow country lanes, and traditional farmhouses, often converted into holiday lets. It's an ideal setting for families or couples looking for a peaceful escape with plenty of space.

The best time to visit Morval for pleasant weather and outdoor activities is typically from late spring (May) through to early autumn (September).

During these months, you'll find the weather generally mild and agreeable, with longer daylight hours. This makes it ideal for exploring the Cornish countryside, visiting the nearby coast, and enjoying local attractions without the chillier temperatures or heavier rainfall that can occur in the winter months. For those who enjoy walking or cycling, the footpaths and quieter country lanes are particularly inviting.

Families often find late spring and early summer particularly good, as the school holidays in July and August can bring more visitors to popular spots. Visiting just before or after the peak summer months offers a good balance of nice weather and fewer crowds, making it easier to enjoy beaches and attractions at a more relaxed pace.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat might prefer May, June, or September. These months offer lovely conditions for leisurely drives through picturesque villages, enjoying garden visits, or dining out without the busiest tourist rush.
