"The proprietors were charming folks and resident Alaskans. They provided a wonderful breakfast, taking into account our dietary preferences. They also were interesting in that they housed firefighters who had been working to control wildfires threatening some of Alaska's beautiful natural areas."

"Loved this beautiful property!. Jillian was great with communication and even left us a wonderful surprise in the kitchen. Check in was very easy and Jillian included lots of information about things to do in the surrounding area. My only complaint was that we could not stay longer! Would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. "

"We loved the cabin, and the hosts were very easy to communicate with. We asked for a few extra towels, and they arrived in just a few short hours - we really appreciated this. There are a few things I would have liked to know before we arrived, but they would not have deterred us from staying - we just might have been better prepared. 1. There is really no closet or dresser to unpack in and we had to leave everything in our suitcases. If I had known that I would have probably packed a little differently. 2. We are campers and no stranger to rustic bathroom facilities, but the very narrow path through the snow to the outhouse was an ankle twister. If I had known that in advance, I might have taken the host up on his offer for an inside "camp toilet" for an extra fee.If you are prepared for those few things I would highly recommend this cabin. It feels very rural, but still within a short driving distance to town and several landmarks. We had a wonderful time visiting Chena Hot Springs, Fairbanks, and Murphys Dome. At Murphy's Dome we saw the most spectacular full clear sky Aurora Borealis display! "
