"We arrived late due to delayed flight to the island and it was very dark as we entered the property. Although communication was sent to assist us with the location of our unit, we accidentally tried to access the wrong door, which woke up the property manager who was not very happy. We spoke with other guests who had a similar issue so perhaps the communication/instructions could be better. The unit was nicely furnished and had many provisions. "Lovely property, perfect for a young family of four. Large pool.We had a small issue with the toilet but Paco sorted it very promptly.It would be nice if there were a few more basic items in the kitchen, no chopping board for example. It is frustrating when you have to buy basic things like salt & pepper and dishwaher/washing machine liquid knowing you are only going to use a handful of times. Anything non perishable we left for the next customers to benefit from.All in all a really nice place...

The house is close to the road and one day there where a lot of motorcycles, but besides that it's a very quiet place, perfect for relaxing. "The overall experience was good. We liked the pool bar and the free entrance to the spa - although the spa could use some extra love and care. The breakfast was diverse and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location close to the airport, the public beach and lots of restaurants nearby. One issue was that there were not enough sunbeds and people reserved them by placing towels and leaving them unattended for hours. Sure one could tell the staff about the issue and they would remove the towels but we feel too conflict-avoidant to ask for that. The overall cleaning in the spa and pool area could be improved. Especially in the spa you could find hair on the floor and in the sauna. We also found a few ants crawling on the floor of the room despite our room being on the second floor. It was a good stay for most parts but not great value for the money that we paid."

"Disappointed only 1 pool open, was very busy Having to go from one building to another for meals when there is another restaurant which isn't being used isn't great either especially with how busy that was! Then not having half the drink machines on which caused big Ques especially for hot drinks on a morning!! I really like the hotel and this isn't my only stay here so I was disappointed!"

"A Beautiful Setting Let Down by Inconsistent Execution The hotel's beachside location is genuinely lovely — the bay views, whitewashed buildings, and modern architecture all make a strong first impression. Unfortunately, the experience didn't fully live up to what those surroundings (and the price point) promised. At around €400/night, this felt like a mid-tier brand reaching for a luxury experience without quite the staff training or operational polish to back it up. "Luxury" is a term used throughout the website, hotels.com listing, and in-room brochures, but compared to other luxury stays I've had at similar price points, it simply didn't hit that mark. A few specifics stood out: - Room decor vs. positioning: Room sizes were good, and the rest of the hotel felt renovated, but the room decor and general style didn't match the luxury tag or price point. - Noise disruption: Housekeeping was in the corridor cupboards every morning at 8:30am, which made for an unwelcome early wake-up call. These are not spund-proofed rooms. - Room pricing: Lower-floor rooms appeared to be priced the same as higher floors, despite the obvious difference in view and experience. - Breakfast: The spread was decent overall, and the fresh egg/omelette station was a nice touch, but it lacked some basics and could use more variety. - Dining room resets: Staff reset tables during breakfast for later service during the day with noisy cutlery and annoyance, seemingly unaware of the disturbances."

THB Gran Bahia Hotel and Apartments

"Cleaning staff works very hard. Gran Bahai is clean, clean, clean. Early in AM, staff are outside washing lounge chairs by the pool, sweeping & cleaning everywhere. Every day they replenished towels, TP, cleaned sinks & toilets & whatever needed doing. Small, efficient fridge was in room (non mini-bar stocked) to fill with your cold drinks. Pool was lovely, but quite small for a hotel of this size (2 buildings). There was also a lifeguard/attendant from 9:30am-6:30pm, who handed out towels. Some didn't care if there were towels on chairs with no one on them for hours on end, while others did and removed towels after about half an hour. It was usually challenging to get a chair unless you went out bright & early before lifeguard arrived. 6:30pm way too early to close pool when it's that hot (35-40C). Excellent breakfast buffet - pretty much anything you could want, except for oatmeal (or a hot porridge of some sort). They also offered a dinner buffet at 15 Euro per person. Each day they had a different roasted meat + cooked fresh fish for those who wanted it. It was a nice break from all the heavy fried stuff along the Boardwalk. Our room was right at the front facing the beach. We had a huge terrace which provided a lovely cool and welcoming breeze - worth the splurge. Staff very nice and accommodating. 4 Star? Not in my opinion. Our room had 1 uncomfortable molded plastic chair in it. We were there for 2 wks, so not ideal. Dresser for clothes would've been nice."

"Such a lovely hotel! Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice . Lovely to sit outside, with breakfast overlooking the sea. Staff were excellent. My room was very clean but quite small. It had a balcony but there was a lot of lovely greenery so did not really get the sun. The pools are quite small and the outdoor one chilly out of season!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was super comfy, and although I’d read reviews mentioning possible noise depending on where you were in the hotel, I took earplugs and slept peacefully. The food was good with a reasonable choice, and there was a lovely terrace area with sun beds, as well as around the pool. Lovely Spa and had a really good massage, definitely recommended! The hotel is in a great position for an evening stroll along the seafront, browsing the shops and restaurants, or enjoying the nightlife if that’s what you’re looking for. I would definitely stay here again."
