Lovely B&B, wonderful hosts & fantastic breakfast. Will definitely be back

Fantastic overnight stay. Made to feel very welcome upon arrival by the owner who then took us to a great vantage point to take in the stunning views whilst giving us a brief bit of background history surrounding the building. We took our dog who was welcomed greatly. The staff on site were pleasant and polite and on hand to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast was great. Can't wait to return later on in the year.

The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere made us feel relaxed from the start. The food was perfect. We would recommend this very nice guest house.

Beautiful house set in the stunning Exmoor National park is worth the 5 stars alone. However , it is the attentiveness of the owners and attention to detail that really makes Edgcott House very, very special. Room was beautifully appointed with quality fixtures, made all the more special with aromatherapy products in the bathroom and freshly baked cake left in the room each day. The hotel is situated in a beautiful, secluded and extremely picturesque location. Everything is about quality over quantity from the number of rooms to the very well prepared meals, which clearly use the best ingredients. Limited facilities, but this is part of the charm. The owners and waitress were always on hand to ensure satisfaction and are very friendly. Not suitable for younger children, which will suit many older people looking for a few days of tranquility away from busy lives.

Sam and Annie are delightful hosts. The views are stunning, breakfast is top notch and the property is well located for the Tarka Trail and the restaurants in town

My partner and I had a delightful stay here. We were well catered for by our hosts and found the room very pleasant, in good order and quiet. Personally we would choose a firmer bed, but appreciate that’s not to everyones taste or preference.

Excellent place,in the middle of nowhere but easy access to town and coast. Simon the owner could not do enough for us. We took our pup and who was welcome everywhere.would definitely stay there again.

Manageress went out of her way to make us welcome. Room was a fair size, clean with ample storage, small fridge and a good size ensuite with bath and separate shower. Only noise you can hear is the river flowing nearby and the birds at first light. Varied menu and expect good quality and service. Cosy and warm bar. Small hotel with ample parking close by. Highly recommended and will visit again.

Our first excursion after COVID lockdown so a little anxious but everything was taken care of. The hosts did an excellent job of following the guidelines so we felt relaxed. Food was from a limited menu but understandable given the circumstances and was very good.

A two night stay to attend niece's wedding, excellent location with a plentiful public car park opposite. Our room was clean and tidy, well appointed with quality fixtures and fittings. A very nice friendly welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. Quality of breakfast was first class and very tasty with a good range to suit all tastes. Would stay again and would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the area. Village had good amenities.

The house is artistically decorated. The couple who run the B&B are very helpful. A relaxing. The house is very close to the beach for people who like to swim

When we arrived it was dark so we had no idea where we were, the lady in reception was very friendly and gave us a choice of two rooms, the rooms were clean and tidy, unfortunately the hotel only does breakfast but the lady pointed us in the right direction for food. It was a lovey quite night and when we got up and looked out the window....omg...what a view, we were right by the sea on the edge of a cliff.
