We really appreciated the location - very close to the beach and to Publix grocery store, central on the island & a few miles south of the busy area so there was lots of open space on the beach. We loved the dock and sat by the canal in the morning, saw a dolphin late at night in the canal which was really cool for the older kids. The kids also loved the pool and swam a lot - the screen cuts down the sun exposure in the morning and it is full shade in the afternoon. We saw/talked to the owner just briefly a few times during the week but he was available when needed, gave us some good activity/restaurant recommendations and our kids loved their dog :-). Only thing that was a bit annoying is that to go out for dinner on the north side of the island is a 30-60-minute drive to get 2 miles - easier to go earlier in the day or take bikes. Overall this was a great vacation location and we would definitely stay here again!"
