Its most suitable for visiting the 3 main monuments, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral, Alameda Central park and Zocalo. The area can sometimes feel a little unsafe late in the night, but we did not have any issues. "

"Room was very worn looking but decent size… the property places a cap on the AC in the rooms and it’s NOT cool enough!!! It was miserable… We were so hot the first night we thought the AC was broken and the fan didn’t work. We approached the front desk and there was nothing that they could do minus switching rooms. So we switched rooms at 3 AM. Again the AC was regulated but at least the fan in the ceiling worked. The rest of the staff were fantastic, especially the bartenders… The food was very bland and massively watered down… The beach was beautiful, but small. Unfortunately, there were only a handful of lawn chairs and even fewer umbrellas. This was the third Riu resort we have been to in Cancun and this one was by far the worst."
