Only stayed 1 night but very convenient location for airport - 25 min walk dragging cases - & main sights - 35 min walk to leaning tower. Very friendly staff allowed us to leave luggage there the morning of check in day. Very quiet & superb breakfast.

A wonderful three days in a trip through Italy was spent at Hotel Villa Campomaggio. It was very tranquil with an excellent team of people that have the impression of one big happy family. Thank you HVC
I would advise having your own means of transport to get around.

This was a great base for a few days in Florence. It's a 10-15 minutes walk to the old centre along the river, it was nice to be a little away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to everything, and the walk there and back was always a pleasure.
We walked everywhere but the bus stop from and to the station is in front so super convenient when needed.
There is a supermarket less than 10 mins away on the other side of the river. The kitchen is basic but had what we needed for breakfast...

Fantastic hotel with great staff, comfortable bed, great shower etc. we enjoyed the location, 10 minutes walk to the duomo or the train station, fabulous restaurants in the vicinity. There was a lovely bar in the hotel, it was always empty & the prices were too high compared to the other places in the area

Palazzo Castri 1874 is an excellent boutique hotel located a short walk from the main Santa Maria Novella (SMN) railway station. It is within easy walking distance of all the main attractions and good places to eat. They have created a special place for guests to stay. All the staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, well equipped and many have views of the Duomo. The beautiful garden with its outside seating areas and small pool is an oasis of quiet and calm and is very...

Very pleasant room, good facilities, modern, felt secure, accommodation welcoming - nice that they messaged to ask when we would arrive in the afternoon. Great location. Having stayed on the Arno previously, I noticed how very quiet it was, and still an easy, quick walk (for those who do walk lots) from the heart, offering an excellent route to the Piazzale Michelangelo and in easy reach of the Boboli Gardens. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed with my family (husband and 2 children) for 4 nights in July to do some sightseeing. Florence is beautiful and our apartment enhanced our experience.
The location is great - on the quieter side of the Arno river, about a 10 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio, with nice places to eat, and supermarkets nearby. The area feels safe.

Location is superb...a short stroll to most of the major attractions. Despite being in the heart of the city, superb soundproofing + air-con means an excellent, silent night's sleep. The staff are the best I ever encountered, the rooms spotless, the breakfast generous, and free teas and a happy hour to meet fellow travellers over free Prosseco tops it all off.
