I cancelled my reservation for Oct. 26th

Posted 30-Oct-2013
I cancelled my reservation on Oct 26th, 2013 on Oct 25th, 2013 due to a family illness. While I did not stay at this hotel on this date, I have stayed there on previous travels and always find the entire experience enjoyable.

Nice pool and good location. Very close to Cedarburg, WI - a cute Christmas town.

Hotel was nice, comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. My trip was business and personal (family wedding).I was able to get my work obligations completed and family enjoyed pool and nearby mall.We also went to Brewer game and Zoo which are within resonable driving distance.

This hotel is heaven, with angels working there.

Pros: The clean rooms, shuttle service, and more.
Cons: Just a couple of water bottles in the refrigerator.
Location: Truely quiet. The Maquon area is made up responsible people with very low crime rate.
The hotel manager treats everybody as family. They normally provide shuttle service, but when i arrived at the Milwawkee airport, he had no driver. His driver called off. The manager simply told me to take a taxi, and i will be reembursed. He ended up paying me back $50.00. The hotel has three restaurants, italian, Mexican, and ? I was thrilled as i got to the rooms. It's actually a one bed room appartment. There is a living room, and a room with two TVs. Chairs, refrigerator, tables, sofa etc. From the name, it is truly a house. I think that what you get is way more than what you pay. Swimming pool, free break fast. The manager also drove us to Concordia University where we had our interview, and finally took us to the airport. He was always on time. Do not hesitate to book this hotel. My only recommendation is that they should keep a few bottles of drinking water in the refrigerator for the guests, so they don't have to go to the vending machine at night to buy water.

Paper-thin walls, noisy all night and overpriced

Posted 09-Dec-2009
Nice staff and convenient location if you need to be in the Mequon area, but I wouldn't stay there again. It's an older property, cluttered with kitschy, country knick-knacks, but the real problem is acoustics. If someone unwraps a candy 5 rooms away you're going to hear it. There was like a half-inch gap all the way around my hotel room door that let the sound in. The walls are cheap and thin, and the various sounds of guests and staffers will wake you up again and again all night. For a much fairer price per night, go stay at the infinitely more comfortable Residence Inn in nearby Glendale.
