"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. The communal dining hall is very good, reasonably priced, and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. The pool has stunning views straight up to Glacier Point, and with the adjacent shower block is very welcome at the end of a hot...
"Not a lot of options here, but the Majestic is grossly overpriced so the Lodge is your only option for a traditional hotel experience. Staff is hit or miss - some were great, some were very disinterested. Restaurant was decent but again, great busboy, lousy waitress. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. Location is excellent for access to Valley activities."

Rush Creek Lodge and Spa at Yosemite
10/10 Excellent
"Relatively new large modern facility just outside Yosemite Park entrance. Great space for reading and meeting. Large restaurant and a good store for food and gifts. Fantastic large pool and jacuzzis.
They provide luggage carts but no assistance. And they don’t do wake up calls. They just say to use the Alexa device in the room. Both of these seemed odd given it is “fully priced.”

"Great location and just outside the park. Very clean. Only downside is the food options. The pizza place was great. The restaurant was dated and just ok. Overpriced and you have no other choices. "
"This out-of-the-way resort was so reminiscent of simpler times. Lots of fun things to enjoy with my teenage son, great food, and quiet woodsy feel is just what one might expect in the great outdoors around Yosemite Nat. Park."
The Ahweanee in Foresta, Inside Yosemite National Park
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was great and in a nice location. Very quiet and remote. Kitchen nicely stocked. Absolutely everything you need is here including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. My husband and I would consider staying here again. The hot tub is not operating and this should be noted on the listing. "

"Sarah was amazing and our 3 days stay was wonderful. She was responsive through out and we enjoyed every minute at the property. Will visit again.
**Just be careful with the large potholes in the yosemite west area in general. We damaged two of our tires and spent the same amount fixing them as we spent on booking the property."
