"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. The communal dining hall is very good, reasonably priced, and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. The pool has stunning views straight up to Glacier Point, and with the adjacent shower block is very welcome at the end of a hot...

"Not a lot of options here, but the Majestic is grossly overpriced so the Lodge is your only option for a traditional hotel experience. Staff is hit or miss - some were great, some were very disinterested. Restaurant was decent but again, great busboy, lousy waitress. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. Location is excellent for access to Valley activities."

"Yosemite west is a phenomenal place to stay in the park- roughly 25 -30 min drive to the valley floor. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood but it is at a high elevation, which can impact cooking . The place was clean , but dated . The pool table was a hit with our family. Pots and pans were scratched with teflon, so I would recommend bringing your own if possible. No ice maker in the fridge so bring your own ice if you need it. No kettle available at the time but there were coffee makers . It was nice that there were some spices available as well. The outdoor grill worked well and propane was supplied by the owner. The place worked well for our group which was 2 families. Two rooms were next to each other downstairs along with a full bathroom. Upstairs there was a king bed and full bathroom and a sauna that got warm but not super hot. It was difficult at times to plug in our devices in the plugs were loose and would just fall out . Other than that great stay!! "
"I want to start by saying that the view at this place is absolutely amazing. The vibe is calm and zen—the pond, the creek, the waterfall in the mountains, and the friendly, kind staff all make this place worth it.
However, if you pay attention to small details, you may notice some downsides. Some amenities were very old or didn’t work well. For example, the toaster was old and rusty, and the refrigerator was outdated and made loud noises that made it hard to sleep. Also, the light above the stove didn’t work, so I had to cook with very little lighting.
Overall, everything looked clean, but when I wiped the dining table and the countertop, the cloth came out dirty. The floor was also dirty, and the worst part was the sofas—both were very dirty. I had to put a blanket over them so my kids could sit on them.
On a positive note, the beds were nice and clean, and the bathroom was clean as well.
Thank you!"
"very nice location inside the valley, room is dark and looks dated but clean. A short walk to the Yosemite fall. Cafe food is not that good and very pricy for the quality. "
"This was an ideal place to stay for our Yosemite trip. The Cozy Bear was quiet, had everything we needed, and there was plenty of room for 4 people. The communication throughout the entire process was excellent. I would recommend the Cozy Bear for your Yosemite trip. "
"We had a fantastic stay at this Yosemite West cabin. The host was incredibly attentive and easy to communicate with, which made everything smooth from start to finish. The location is hard to beat, super close to the park, which made early mornings and quick returns after long days exploring really convenient. The cabin itself was cozy, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. Traveling as a family of six with four boys, we appreciated having a relaxing place to come back to and recharge. The strong WiFi was a nice bonus (especially with kids), and the basket of goodies was a thoughtful touch that didn’t go unnoticed. All in all, this was the perfect home base for our Yosemite trip. Simple, comfortable, and exactly what you want after a full day in the park. We’d absolutely stay here again."
