The place is very cozy and has a cabin style, very in point with the scenery. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and very spacious. Great place to stay if you are on your way to Yosemite. I didn't have the chance to try the breakfast place they have but it seems to be a good place to go.

Very very clear wooden cottage that we stayed in! Would definitely recommend for summer hikers who plan to spend most of the day outside (cottage does not have air conditioner, so gets a bit hot if you stay in for afternoons).

While it was a clean room and in a great location, the rooms need to be updated. Its was great for the price and the diner on-site is also a plus. Just some of the fixtures, lights, faucets, bedding, etc. need to be upgraded. Otherwise a great stay.

I think lake view lodge is the most significant lodge in Lee Vining with its history and the beautiful setting among other hotel/motels. Really loved the garden on site and Basin cafe, we stayed one night, and had dinner breakfast and lunch at Basin cafe the food is huge quantity with good quality. We will come back if visit Lee Vining again !

The room was quite dark, and the towels were old, gray, and worn out, although they had clearly once been white. For some reason, the air conditioner shut off in the middle of the night, so I had to wake up and turn it back on. Most importantly, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows were poor quality, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, I would not choose to stay at this motel again. On a positive note, however, there is a very pleasant café with outdoor tables under the trees on a lovely green lawn, which was probably the nicest part of the property.
