A Boutique "find" in Marseilles

Posted 18-Oct-2017
Pros: Reception desk staff dedicated to your requests. Knowledgeable. Bilingual.
Location: Location might be the only negative. I wanted to go for a solo walk in the evening after dinner ( around 10:30pm) and was not encouraged to do so.
Staff and service excellent Dining and Bar options, via walk through the Lobby. Breakfast great; coffee options. Bilingual desk staff Comfortable room: quiet, mini bar, microwave...thoughtful regarding basic needs... A 20" walk to the Old Port, and a 10-15" walk to neighborhood bars and restaurants. Great value for the price.

A true shelter in Marseille

Posted 11-Apr-2017 on Hotels
Mamma Shelter's service is fantastic. The concierge went above and beyond to find a dinner spot for me on a night when a lot of restaurants were fully booked. They also have a parking garage which was a relief after navigating Marseille. Highly recommend.

Trendy hotel; Friendly staff;

Posted 11-Oct-2016 on Hotels
Very trendy hotel; staff super friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Medium-sized room and found it rather crowded. We stayed here twice, and the first time we found the streets around the hotel to be very dirty (lots of dog poo on the sidewalks). When we returned the second time, it was better. The wifi did not work well and we could not get any movies to load for viewing.

Quirky but chic hotel

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Pros: Pillows: very comfortable. A kettle provided in the room -- unusual feature in France in our experience. Quirky styling. Friendly, efficient staff.
Cons: Provide lighter duvets that "breathe" better.
Location: Though not in the centre it was quite an easy walk, or easy metro ride, to the centre and other areas of holiday interest, incl. modern art gallery.
We found it an enjoyable and stimulating place to stay. The restaurant was very good, and clearly favoured by chic youngsters (we are not chic or young but were nevertheless made to feel welcome). There is an erotic theme in some of the decor etc. and we found this entertaining but some people might be concerned about bringing young children. The only negative point is that we found the duvet very hot and so had to keep the room cold through the night in order to sleep comfortably.

The place to stay in Marseille

Posted 24-Sep-2016
I loved my stay here. Very trendy hotel with minimalistic yet comfortable and stylish rooms. The bed is very comfy and the shower is lovely. I also loved the quirky touch with the masks on the wall and the Apple TV. The restaurant is fabulous too, quite expensive food but great service and the breakfast is divine! I wish I could have stayed here for longer!

Fun and Kinky Hotel

Posted 03-Aug-2016 on Hotels
We had a great stay. It was a fresh and fun experience. Very unique room, with a lot of quirky add ons. Everything about this hotel screams hipster, but in the best way. The bar was very fun as well, with great staff.
