France's oldest city dazzles with its ancient port and the gleaming MuCEM museum showcasing Mediterranean cultures. Climb to Notre-Dame de la Garde for panoramic views, then sample authentic bouillabaisse at restaurants along the vibrant Vieux Port.
This was our second time staying and we were not disappointed! Beautifully clean and comfortable rooms, great amenities and helpful staff. We had a slight problem with our shower but it was resolved immediately. Would recommend every time!

It was refreshing to be in a hotel that provides a more personal and responsive service rather than the more bland approach of many 'chains. For the first time on a trip to France I did not have my car and the location of the hotel did limit what I could do. Having said that the staff provided good information about local bus services and I managed a hike in the Calanque national park and seeing 2 of the beautiful calanques close to the hotel.

Having resided at glamorous 5-star hotels around the world with varying satisfaction, we had low expectations for the C2 especially when we arrived to the hotel. The entrance is what you would expect at a low-level budget hotel. Tiny, on a narrow back street and very unattractive from the street.
However, as I entered it was like being transported to an alternative planet. The building although smallish is beautiful, spotlessly clean and shiny. The rooms are amongst the largest and airiest I’ve...

I stayed here for a week. I asked for a room overlooking the port at the back of the hotel - the front is in a narrow street behind. The view was amazing. My room had two large windows and was spacious and very clean. The bed was heavenly - the most comfortable I have ever had apart from home. I didn't eat breakfast there - at €23.50 it seemed very expensive. There is a lovely bakery next door and a coffee machine in the room.
There isn't a restaurant in the hotel, apart from at breakfast, but...

Residhome Marseille is a lovely new & modern hotel in a quiet street in La Joliette but well situated with just a 10-15 minute walk to the old port & shops. In the opposite direction a few minutes walk takes you to Le Docks Village & Les Terrasses Du Port indoor shopping centre. The Metro, bus & tram services are all nearby with very regular service. A short bus ride takes you up to the Notre Dame De La Garde with fantastic views of the city & a lovely restaurant & the old streets of Le Panier...

Our second stay at La Residence and we love the place. The views from the rooms across the Old Port are just stunning - we slept with the curtains open so we could take in the view from bed! The rooms are large and comfortable, likewise the bathrooms. Not luxurious exactly but all one needs is there, and the decor is fun and idiosyncratic.

Lovely spacious room for a family of four. So close to the train station for an overnight stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk into the old port for sight seeing. Very beautiful and comfortable room. Would happily book again.
