"The cottage has all modern conveniences and is tastefully decorated. Everything was comfortable. The stairs are a bit challenging. The cottage is easy walking distance to town. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"Helen and Alex, the owners, have literally thought of everything a guest might need...and made it available most generously. The location in the old part of the town happens to be perfect. To greet us there was a hamper with the basics tea, coffee etc but also all the ingredients for a full English breakfast. The bathroom was very well stocked, the bedrooms very comfortable, there is a little library of books, all you need for a barbeque and even 2 bicycles offered. We just kept finding things...

"Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! "

"Lily pad could be wonderful. Its setting is beautiful. I was really looking forward to staying. However the lodge is damp and the heating is wholly inadequate, the macerator in the shower room had leaked under the laminate floor and was still leaking on my arrival.The property was a health hazard. It stank and the noise of the macerator and vent was horribly noisy. Paymán expected me to stay let a handyman try and fixit.he was due to get to me in an hour. I had arrived at 5:40 at 6:50they...

"We loved Lychgate's location next to the church, churchyard and open green. The tower bells, village activities, friendly neighbors walking dogs and strolling babies charmed us. The house is all we had hoped for: comfortable & well supplied kitchen, gorgeous bath & laundry, and dreamy king-sized bed. Everything we needed was near at hand: grocery store, Post Office, museum, various restaurants and shops. We loved our week in Waltham Abbey! Thank you, Marie."

They send details about requiring a timed meet and greet to check ID and charge extra if you arrive in the evening. We had to change our plans as a result. Then a few days before the stay were messaged with the keycode and no requirement for meet and greet. On arrival we were disappointed to find the...
