Dear Mr & Mrs Layton, We are very surprised that you decided to publish a comment that does not reflect at all the reality of this very unhappy situation. Even though we have spoken several times on the phone and email, please find our answer below: You stayed with us for 2 nights on mid-September and the night before your departure you contacted our Reception because you could not find one of your rings.The rings and jewelry were not placed inside the security safe, but -as per your own comments- in a napkin in between your clothes. You thought this was safer than using the safe that was available in your room.After informing our Reception, the Housekeeping Manager and House Manager personally checked the garbage, vacuum bag, laundry, and all items found in other hotel areas, besides interviewing the two staff members that were responsible for the cleaning of your room on those dates.Moreover, on your same day of departure and after your early checkout, we tried calling you but, as we did not get an answer, we contacted you via email at 11.52am, just some hours after your departure and less than 12h after you noticed the missing ring. We never received an answer from you to this email. As you can imagine, after not hearing back, we assumed the ring was found.Almost 3 months after, you decide to publish this comment without previously reaching out to us. Please, believe me when I say that I am very sorry that you lost your ring. But I can reassure you that we have a very professional, trustworthy, reliable and honest team that has consistently worked (many of them since our opening back in 2015) to ensure the highest form of guest safety & satisfaction.
