"This was a very nice space. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower had awesome water pressure. The room was however, very warm so we had to open the window the tiny amount that it opens. Unfortunately, the street below is very busy and loud. This noise made it difficult for me to get any rest. "
"Comfortable bed, clean room, and wonderful service. This gorgeous little hotel had everything I needed and most importantly dedicated staff who made my stay comfortable and welcoming. "
"Apartment very well appointed, very comfortable . Communication with the host was excellent , we had a slight problem and couldn’t get the tv to work which she soon sorted out. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it ."
"The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive."
"Lovely staff in the adjacent barn conversion. Very spacious room with super king bed and lovley bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower.
Had a great stay"

10/10 Excellent
"This is a really beautiful cottage conversion that was originally done a while back but has been updated over the years. It's extremely quiet, very comfortable, very well-equipped (particularly the kitchen - we cooked a full recipe box meal with no problems) and a lovely place to spend time. A basket with some chocolate biscuits and wine was extremely welcome!
The location is very rural - this is a farm on the ridge of the hills in the Peak District and so it's always windy and often a bit misty in the mornings as it's so high up. But when it clears, the views are wonderful and it's so peaceful!
It was very helpful to be able to charge our EV (electric vehicle) here too and at a very fair cost.
There were only a couple of things which could have been a bit better - a bit of time with a feather duster would go a long way, as there was a lot of dust on windowsills, cobwebs in the ceilings, dust collected in the corners of the floor and so on (even by barn conversion standards) but all the important bits were really clean. Also be aware - despite Vrbo saying that Wifi is free throughout, the owners ask people not to stream video because of it being limited each month on a satellite contract, and they even simply turn it off some evenings completely! I do have some sympathy but for a high-end luxury getaway, I don't really feel this is good enough. Mobile reception is excellent, so the owners could look at cellular broadband for wifi. But maybe a digital detox is good anyway!"
"really comfortable stay - the cottage is cosy but has high ceilings so no banged heads and it doesn't feel cramped. beds really comfy. fantastic location - amazing walks from outside the front door. lovely pub in the village down the hill. and the owners run the tea room next door so left us a lovely plate of cakes on arrival! "
"Great location overlooking Buxton down the valley. It is remote but not far from anywhere. The hosts Carol and Alan were welcoming and helpful. The property was ideal for a couple to have a nice relaxing stay. "
