West Village Eurohostel

"This hostel has been recently updated and it’s very clean with towels, robe, and ample supplies in the bathroom. Staff very friendly and so we’re the quests we had the pleasure of meeting. The history of this building helped us understand the very small room size and bunk beds. Beds were comfortable and pillows and linen like new. Not much room for 2 people to move around but we knew that when we booked. Would recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The Hostel is generally quiet but you can hear doors opening and closing throughout the night. Also lots of construction noise that starts early in the morning just outside the Hostel. There is a nice space in the main check in area for morning coffee and additional seating to stretch out if needed. So close to everything in the West Village and Chelsea. Very walkable area and close to subway. IMHO this is a good choice if you’re planning to be busy all day and evening and just looking for an affordable, clean, safe place to sleep at the end of the day."

"Overall, really liked the hotel. The rooms are very small, but make good use of space. The downside was a few little things-when checked in we were told we had a credit to use at any of the cafes, and went up to have a drink at happy hour and were told they don't accept room credits for that cafe. We were excited to go to the piano bar, but learned after checking in that it was a ticketed only event that night. Understandable, but would be nice if there was more clarity about that. When I asked what time the music started two people had to look to find out what was happening that night and though it's under different management, just was disappointing, as was one of the reasons we chose that hotel over others in the neighborhood."
