Donegal's Lough Eske sits in a location that's popular for being scenic and relaxing. There are ample options for restaurants and bars here. Many visitors come to bask in its beautiful outdoor settings, namely the sea, beaches, and lake. Book a hotel in the area, and use it as your home base for getting to Lough Eske and seeing everything in and around Donegal.
Besides Lough Eske, there are many other activities and attractions in Donegal. One popular activity in the area is being pampered at a spa, but there's plenty more to do. The area's storied past is told through the monuments, historic sites, and castle.
Rossnowlagh Beach, Bundoran Beach, and Narin Beach are a few spots to soak up some sunshine. Local parks like Lough Eske, Ardnamona Gardens, and Lakeside Centre are peaceful spots. If you have some more time, pay a visit to Donegal Golf Club, Five Oaks Ranch, or Deane's Farm Equestrian Centre.
For cultural attractions, head to St Connells Cultural and Heritage Museum, Belleek Pottery, and Killybegs Maritime and Heritage Visitor Centre. Swing by Ardara Fort, Glenmore Estate, and Drumboe Castle to learn about local history. Monuments like O'Donnel's Castle, Abbey Assaroe, and Castle Caldwell are well regarded.
Donegal Castle, Donegal Bay Waterbus, and Donegal Equestrian Centre are family favorites. Why not visit Lough Derg, Bundoran Golf Club, and Bundoran Surf Company while you're here? Waterworld Bundoran, Surfworld Bundoran, and Caldragh Cemetery will also leave an impression.
