"This was a beautiful cottage with wonderful view as we were at the top of a very big hill. Ruth was so friendly and welcoming. She had left scones as a welcome...which were delicious. The kids loved it here and have already requested to come back soon. The pool and hot tub were a great hit with everyone. "

"Lovely situation and very nice cottage. The village is isolated and only has one small shop for 'essentials. Sadly the cottage had no CH (temp?) so reliant on electric heaters and a nice, if a little hard work, wood burner. Some nice local walks along the river woodland but hilly, damp and not easy in places. Very young children and the less mobile might struggle. Pub is 100 feet away and very friendly (plus dogs). In the end we did not eat there. We did get a supermarket delivery in the week, no problem. Very friendly robin on the front window. All in all a nice, quiet stay if probably better suited to warmer and drier weather."

"An excellent two night stay at a location we hadn't visited for some years. Our dog-friendly room was really clean . Evening meals were good. Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. We will be back to both establishments in the next few months"
