Characterful hotel with good-sized rooms (for London), plumbing that works, nice lounge, bar and pleasant breakfast room looking onto the garden. Clean, quiet. Double-glazing at the front cut out any traffic noise (it's on a bus route to Oxford Circus) and there are views over a green public space. Breakfast freshly cooked. Comfortable beds and excellent blackout curtains. The owners were very helpful and welcoming without being over-the-top, and made up a ground floor room for one of us who has some difficulty with stairs. Stairs to the 2nd floor are quite steep. We'd be happy to stay again.
