The breakfast is the morning was awesome and the staff were all great. The room was pretty tired, there was water on one of the bedroom walls, mouldy bathroom etc. Not unclean, just clearly a bit tired. What tainted our stay was how overpriced the bar / restaurant was, we had dinner on the friday night just a main and a single drink each and it came to £80 for the 2 of us. The food quality was basic pub standard so didn't justify the price tag, I bought a pint of Coke the next day and it cost £4.85\. So I would definitely recommend avoiding their restaurant and heading to a local pub! The grounds are lovely and well looked after. Our check in was straight forward and easy. Staff were great and attentive across the hotel. Spa facilities were lovely. Our room was a really good size and clean. The only slight downside was that we didnt appear to have air con available - this was not an issue as we opened the window, however, in the hotter months its worth noting!"
