A nasty hotel!

From the moment I arrived I was treated rudely by the receptionist. The room was on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator. I have very bad knees and had to bring my luggage up the stairs. There was no place to park my trailer. Do I had to go to the police and find where I could park. It was blocks away. Every time I wanted to go somewhere I had to walk blocks to get my care. The room was dirty and worn out. Needs complete rehab. Very poor layout on the room design. The hotel is very out dated.

Excellent value for money for a family stay

We were a group of 9, my family & my sister's. The children had a blast & thoroughly enjoyed the pool as well as the breakfast in the morning & self serve tea all day. We adults enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere, the breakfast & coffee all day. The staff was exceptionally friendly!

Beautiful hotel in the very serene Lake Placid. It is within walking distance of just about every restaurant, shop and bar . The staff at the hotel were very hospitable, professional and personable thus making the stay even more enjoyable. ..I would highly recommend this to anyone planning on spending time up in the beautiful Adirondacks.

Very well located, close to lake and many restaurants, easy walk to shopping, big comfortable rooms and beds.

Extremely pleasant stay.

We were a large group and while I was too late to get the group rate, the manager refunded me the extra I paid when I showed up. The motel is very well run and accommodating, and management went over the top to see our group's needs were met. Even the breakfast waitress (even though it's a self-serve buffet style) was super attentive and charming.

Good place to stay

We stayed for 1 night only, everything was just excellent in this hotel. The only cons were slow bath sink drain and breakfast menu could be a bit wider.

Rooms were outdated and in need of remodeling especially the bathrooms. The rooms smelled very musty as did the common area. The parking lot in the back was very ugly and unkept making it a horrible view. Cable TV channels were limited to approx 10 channels, outdated tv as well. ( not the one goes to LP to watch tv but it would've been nice for those sleepless nights thanks to terrible pillows. Breakfast was good, Gloria was very kind and courteous. All day coffee and tea was a nice perk(no pun intended)
