Pros: Todo

Very convenient and acceptable hotel.

Posted 12-Oct-2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Liked that it was quiet and restful.
Cons: Nothing that we did not like.
Location: Loved the convenience of being right on Main Street with restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. Also an easy drive to Whiteface Mountain.
We went for the fall foliage and were lucky enough to get the last available room at this Best Western for what was a fair price considering the rates of other available hotels. The room, while a little dated, was clean and roomy, bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, and a fridge and microwave were available. While we were on the first floor it was overall pretty quiet, although you could hear the guests in the room above when they walked, but not so loud that it was bothersome. Bathroom was pretty nice and the shower had plenty pressure. They also have an indoor pool and Jacuzzi on the lower level and are close to Mirror Lake with some rooms having a lake view. Would definitely stay here again if need be.

Great location in Lake Placid area

Posted 09-Oct-2016
Location: Hotel was close to Mirror Lake and Olympic Village. Many restaurants to chose from.
We had a suite which was removed from main hotel. Our room was spacious, bathroom showed signs of age and overall room smelled musty, odor was overwhelming when we first opened the door. Air conditioner helped but window cranks were broken unable to open windows properly for fresh air. Towels were plentiful. Breakfast was good.

A nasty hotel!

Posted 12-Sep-2016
From the moment I arrived I was treated rudely by the receptionist. The room was on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator. I have very bad knees and had to bring my luggage up the stairs. There was no place to park my trailer. Do I had to go to the police and find where I could park. It was blocks away. Every time I wanted to go somewhere I had to walk blocks to get my care. The room was dirty and worn out. Needs complete rehab. Very poor layout on the room design. The hotel is very out dated.

It was okay.

The room we stayed in was dated and in dire need of upgrading. The guest directory said to check at the front desk for discount green fees for the local golf courses. When we checked, we were advised that golf packages had to be booked in advance. You may want to update the directory so not to mislead your guests.
